ive been watching all the bumbling idiots complaining about people referring to Obama as Barak Hussein Obama. Who made it a crime to call people by their full name? hahahahahahahahha its really getting sick in this country when you can call anyone by their full name EXCEPT black people!!!!! I mean Hillary Rodham Clinton, John Wilkes Booth, Bill Jefferson Clinton, Lee Harvey Oswald ,Dont forget JFK JFK JFK duuhhh,George W bush,Billy Ray Cirrus,Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Millhouse,NIxon, AND HOWDY f***in DOODY....reverse racism must be nonexistant huh?? i hope if iam reincarnated i come back black so i will have a chance ....

| The issue with using Obama's middle name, Hussein, isn't to further illuminate who he is - as it is with George W Bush as opposed to his father, George Bush - but rather an attempt to link him to Saddam Hussein. The problem with doing it is, as Karl Rove and his polling group have learned, is that the US public realizes that doing it is only an effort at personally smearing and defaming Obama, and does nothing to address the issues or his character. And that if the GOP runs such a campaign, they will further alienate black and latino voters, and Jewish, and Muslim voters, and the GOP really needs to not alienate 25-30% of the electorate for the next 30 years. Demographically, white males are declining in the US, and Latinos, and Asians are rising. Being seen, publicly attacking Obama because he has an Islamic name, well, then what's next, attacking a Mexican candidate for having a name like Gonzales? It's a losing strategy, short term, and a death knell long term. Voters born after 1970 tend to be much less racist and homophobic than those born before 1960. The GOP's southern strategy worked great, in the 60's 70's, 80's and 90's. Now though, that demographics work against that, they can't afford another Willy Horton style campaign, and totally give up 90% of all voters, 38 and younger, for the next 30 years. |

View this Comment JUNE: mY POINT IS THIS:If you are ashamed of your name you can change it.now i dont know of anyone named Barack, muchless hussein or obama.He should change his name from Barack to Al that way you could shout Alobama and the crimson tide would rush in and mess up the decorum. |

See, Nixon style southern strategy works great if you are trying to get the support of the good ol' boys in the KKK. It don't work quite as well in Demcratic primaries. Also, Karl Rove is the one who has said that the GOP should refer to Sen. Obama as Sen. Obama, and not use or stress the Hussien middle name. The reason Rove said this is he has already done the polling - it makes the person saying it look and sound like a klansman. It is an easy way to lose this election, and the next 6 presidential elections. As for the right using his middle name as a rhythmic chant, do it, please, pretty please with sugar on top. If Hillary wants to try it also, see how well Willie Horton worked for Gore; Once again, this works with large groups of southern good ol boy klansmen, unfortunately, not many of them vote in Democratic primaries. They've all been Republotards since 1965. |
