My last article touched upon the local resources for filmmakers. Now I wanna to talk about how things can be improved upon to increase local filmmaking. an increase in local filmmaking would benefit the economy and uplift moral. first thing that needs to happen is we need state of the art motion picture production studios, similar to the ones they have in Alberqurke, New Mexico. these facilities can be built along Baseline Rd., close to South Mountain. there is plenty of land for sale there. The second thing that needs to be done is to simplify the Arizona Tax Credit Initiative so Indie filmmakers would utilize it more often. Third, there needs to be Distribution companies that are willing to buy the film. these distribution companies can be local and build their facilities in the same Baseline Rd. corridor. Fourth, ASU, NAU and Uof A need to offer Entertainment Law in their law school studies so Entertainment attorneys can set up shop here and help with the financial and legal aspects of motion picture production and distribution paperwork. these are the things needed to turn Arizona into a filmmaking hub that is used frequently.
what can be done about the local filmmaking scene
