Janet Napolitano
Democrat
2003 - Present

Governor Janet Napolitano is one of our nation’s most innovative, influential and inspirational leaders. As the 21st governor of Arizona she has taken the reins with a clear vision, and moved the state into the 21st century.

Chosen by Time Magazine as one of America’s Top Five Governors, Janet Napolitano’s hallmark is common sense – she does what makes sense and what works.

She continues to fight for quality schools, affordable health care, sensible and forward-thinking economic development, a safe homeland, and has taken extensive measures to create fiscal responsibility and to end bureaucratic waste.

Governor Napolitano championed voluntary full-day kindergarten, available for all Arizona children. She pushed for a historical teacher pay raise – an acknowledgement to those who have chosen the most valuable of professions. She also provided record financial support for Arizona’s universities and community colleges, recognizing the need for a well educated work force to ensure the success of Arizona’s future.

She fought to preserve health insurance for our state’s entrepreneurs, while putting into place steps that will help ensure all Arizona children have health care.

Napolitano leads the nation in addressing illegal immigration, and was the first governor to call for the National Guard at the border at federal expense. She continues to be a national voice in calling upon the federal government to accept their responsibility for our nation’s borders.

Governor Napolitano leadership has expanded to outside our state’s boundaries. She recently concluded her term as the first woman and first Arizonan chosen to chair the National Governors Association where her groundbreaking Innovation America platform will continue to move forward.

Prior to her election as Governor, Napolitano served as U.S. Attorney for Arizona and as Arizona’s first female Attorney General.

She’s one of Arizona’s brightest stars who will continue to shine a light on the issues affecting not only Arizona, but the nation.

Remember this face. This is the face of the woman who took 1 billion dollars more than the state needed and now intends to spend 900 million of it and only offers to return 100 million to the people she took it from.

A strong woman and leader for the state of Arizona. This politician will not be bullied around.

Thank you Janet, for your effort and success in the implementation of a volunteer all day kindergarten.

Hey AA, you really do have a thing for our Governess, don't you?

Governor Janet is good for another term, and that is good for Arizona.

And for you. You get to enjoy your infatuation with her for yet another term of progressive service to our great state.

Hey Bob I hope you are kidding about her as your pin up.
Not even a Pimp could get her some action.
Never seen a women yet that didn't manage to screw every thing up. Good luck to all in Arizona if she gets another term.

Shot down the border bill another politician doing nothing. Lives a secret live because she won't come out of the closet. Tells us to conserve gas as she get's hauled around in a limo during the gas crunch. Cost us a million a day in fines because she can't get her cronies to make a decision. Your right Bella she won't get bullied around because she won't do anything to upset anyone. Good job Janet way to hang your hat on that huge kindergarten deal.

Think she does good job balancing the interests of Arizona as evidenced by a 70-80% approval in a very hostile environment.

Glad to see I disagree with 'know it All' and know women that are very good at a multitutde of thing in business, politics and elsewhere. Janet was an exceptional lawyer, Attorney General, and is a remarkable Governor.

I think Govenor Janet Napolitano is doing a great job. She brought the state of AZ from a deficit to a surplus. I also believe News Week appointed Govenor Janet Napolitano as the second best govenor in the nation, in the news week issue January 2006.

This lady is a complete idiot who basically said the Hispanic vote trumps your need for any border security.

My cousin was murdered by a Illegal alien who just ran back to Mexico as fast as he came in the U.S. Thanks veto Queen.

Please explain this...She claims a state of emergency on the border---then steals the taxpayers money because i have not seen a dime spent on that border. In fact the president had to beg her to put the guard down there... How the hell does this crook keep getting away with this crap.
