1969 - Present In December 2004, Samuel W. Bodman was sworn in as the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy. Formerly, Secretary Bodman was Deputy and Secretary of the U.S. Treasury Department back in February 2004. In 1983, Bodman attended to a division of the Fidelity Investments, called Fidelity Venture Associates, and was nominated President and Chief Operating Officer of Fidelity Investments and a Director of the Fidelity Group of Mutual Funds.
