John Barrasso

After 24 years served as a physician, John Barrasso was selected to serve as the Senator of Wyoming as of 2007. Barrasso was elected to the Wyoming State Senate in 2002 and re-elected in 2006. During his tenure in the Wyoming Senate, he served as Chairman of the Transportation, Highways, and Military Affairs Committee, as well as an affiliate of the Labor Health and Social Services, and the Mineral Business and Economic Development Committees. For longer than two decades, Barrasso has been medical director of the Wyoming Health Fairs, and has been awarded the Wyoming Physician of the Year, the Medal of Excellence for his service with the Wyoming National Guard, and the Legislative Service Award from the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
