Juno is one of the best movies of the year! It's hilarious, charming, smart, and corky. Jason Reitman' has created unusual characters that you grow to love. Their corky personalities keep you entertained for 92 minutes. The characters and the script is so well written, you can relate to their unusual lingo.
Juno Macgruff a curious 16 year old who decides to experiment in sexual relations with her good friend and neighbor Paulie. 3 months later she finds her self pregnant and confused. She decides she is going to have an abortion but grows cold of her decision. Her best girlfriend Leah suggests looking at the ads for adoptive parents in the Penny Saver: "They have Desperately Seeking Spawn,' right next to the pet ads." In a nut shell you follow Juno through her nine month pregnancy and feel her frustrations as a pregnant 16 year old. Juno does this in a way that is funny but charming, she treats the situation as an inconvenience but you can see her sensitive side pop through when you least expect it. The movie is refreshing and funny, you can't help but laugh at the uniqueness of each character.

I will check it out on your recommendation Junebug.
Some of the best movies I have seen are those that I was not attracted to initially. They come recommended by friends and family, or they are panned by the critics. Yes, he said panned by the critics. The critics of course operate from the backdrop of their personal likes and dislikes, so I read their critiques with a jaundiced eye.
But I will definitely rely on your good judgment. If you liked it well enough to write about it, I am sure I will enjoy it – and maybe this time I can recommend a movie to my wife that we will both like. It is usually the other way around.
Thanks for the recommendation.
