Your vibration is the only thing that really matters. Vibration is our primary means of communicating. What we vibrate, we attract to us. Unfortunately, a great deal of this happens at the subconscious level, which is why things you think shouldn't be happening to you, are. And the key here, is to know that vibration is not necessarily an eye for an eye. It's more like being in the same ball park.
Case in point. If somewhere in our childhood years, something happens to us that is emotionally painful, as children, we usually don't have the conscious ability to reason through the painful situation. So what happens is we develop responses at our vibrational level. That response could be one of anger or rage. But because we are not allowed to express those feelings verbally, and ask for what we need, we suppress them and they become dominant programs that emanate from our vibrational field and ultimately drive our life experiences.
So lets say this is you, and you grow up a very well adjusted adult. You're successful, and from every aspect, appear to be emotionally well balanced. The stuff that happened in childhood, long forgotten and you are really a nice person. But mean nasty people show up in your life from time to time and you find yourself having to deal with those situations, as unpleasant as they are. They show up out of nowhere, in work, relationships, while driving. You deal with them in the most pleasant way possible, but they keep showing up and you can't figure out how in the world you manage to continue to attract those mean and nasty people to your reality. After all, you don't behave that way. Even if someone makes you angry, you don't treat people the way they treat you and that in itself makes you mad!
What's happened here is that you are vibrating the anger/rage that you developed way back when you were a child. Although consciously, this is all in the past and doesn't matter anymore, subconsciously, you never addressed the situation properly, and so the vibration grew stronger by attracting more of the same energy. Your vibration never forgot about it. In other words, in the conscious plane of existance, you are not angry (eye for an eye. I'm vibrating anger, therefore I display anger), instead you are attracting angry people who mirror your vibration (we're in the same ball park here). Each encounter is an opportunity for you to go back and change that vibration. We aren't taught that and so we don't know that. Once you address the emotional effects of the event that happened as a child, and you release that from your energy field, you change your vibration - your primary mode of communication, and angry people don't come around any more. If you happen to attract one, they don't stay for long. You are now sending a different signal.
And so the journey to change your vibration can be a very challenging one and one that can last years. But the feeling of freedom that you experience, each time you take one more step towards releasing those programs that don't serve you, makes the journey worth it.
You can change your vibration. You have to decide that you want to do it.
