"Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?"


Senator Barack Obama has resigned his membership in Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ, which he attended for nearly two decades, following months of controversy about pastors and their political views.

Mr. Obama said he and his wife, Michelle, wrote a letter on Friday to the church’s pastor, the Rev. Otis Moss, explaining that their estrangement from Trinity took root in controversial remarks by the church’s former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., who once was Mr. Obama’s spiritual guide.

Mr. Obama said he and his wife would search for a new church but probably would not make a decision until after the election in November.


Really?  Did Obama give up anything?  No, if he wants to win the election then he has to distance himself from his controversial friends and spiritual advisers, for the time being.

 Will he miss his old church?  No, if he is elected it would be a long commute from Washington D.C., so he planned on leaving anyway. 

Will he find a new church?  No, he doesn't need  a church, he has the White House,  install some pews and it will be like the good old days. He has a list of "spiritual Advisers" who will be happy to make house calls or even take up residency.  Since he could no sooner denounce them then his white grandmother, hey why not?
