Amnesty, call it what you want, but remember the adminstration is the best at changing the words to make it sound like something it is not. Here's an example; "intelligent design."

It's much easier for Georgie to pick on the Gay people than to stand tall against Vincente Fox. Bush is a coward or made some promises he needs to keep. How much oil is in Mexico, maybe he gets a cut. If there really is a concern of the drugs coming across the border it would be secured. There are a lot of people making big bucks on the drug trade. Drugs, what a good way to keep people down and out.

Average American Tenet #7. Illegal Immigration should be dealt with at the boarder first. Any and all legislation impacting immigration should have at its core the premeditated intention of stopping the overwhelming numbers of illegal immigrants from coming into this country. Any and all amnesty provisions should be postponed until the immediate problem has been solved. Mexico’s involvement in organizing, assisting and championing Illegal Immigration from beyond its boarder with the United States should be met with the most stern of warnings from the United States and their involvement in any of these activities should be punished by sanctions and or a total re-evaluation of any and all financial aide currently being provided by the Unites States. This is not a moral issue, nor is it an immigration issue, it is a sovereignty issue.

I voted dubya, and the answer isn't walls and more police at the border. Its already the 2nd highest defended international borderer in the world (behind the Israeli fences) and as Napolitano has said, show me a 50' wall, and they'll bring a 51' ladder.

The analogy I like is the leaky roof one that the conservative racist nativists push:

"If you got a leaky roof, and its raining, the first thing to do is fix the roof" - but that isn't problem, a leaky border, our problem is employers sitting in the living room drilling holes in the roof, and using wet-vacs to suuck as many laborers into their company.

Start enforcing the laws on the books against hiring illegals, start fining employers, start shutting down construction sites and the Illegal will get deported, and his friends who are here and not able to work will seek ways to get back to Mexico (and China, Britain, France etc, and yes in Florida illegals from Europe are a big problem) and tell their families back in Mexico to stay where they are.

Stop the magnetic pull of good paying jobs for those who get over the wall and they'll stop coming and then our current Border Patrol will be able to do the job.

You are ever so right, bella. There are a lot of vested interests, from the Oval Office down to the gutter, in keeping the American-Mexican border open. Unfortunately, none of those vested interests have the interests of 280M legal American citizens at heart.

OK, MoronInCharge. No rutting around in the trash for the answer. Thanks for not giving it away – I’m sure you know the answer. Actually, as I told indie616 above there is a fairly large hint on in the political category here at VofA.

Double A, here is an issue that you and I agree 100% on. We have more than enough economic leverage alone to snap Fox and Mexico back into line. So why don’t we use it? If these open border advocates, whether they are in congress or in the streets of LA, are successful, we will cease to exist as a nation. It is all about national sovereignty, a right that is considered foundational by the rest of the world, including Mexico, but we are throwing the doors to the store wide open.

Yeah, MoronInCharge. I kinda suspected that when I read his posting. Déjà vu all over again.

If it is true, however, he-whose-name-we-dare-not-speak has an accomplice helping him wiht his sepelilng an garmamr, thgouh.

Good disguise, but not good enough. The new and improved spelling and grammar don't hide the highly suspicious addled thought processes.
