I dislike George W. Bush because of his use of signing statements to circumvent the Constitution. My guess is he used his first signing statement in the Bible upon which he took the oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States-neatly tucked between the gospels of Matthew and Mark, written in crayon “cept when I don’t wanna.”
I dislike George W. Bush because he let good competent federal agencies (ex. FEMA) become a reward for cronies.
I dislike George W. Bush because he keeps saying freedom in on the march. Meanwhile, Hamas, a terrorist group, won the Palestinian elections, the Muslim Brotherhood gained seats in the Egyptian elections, and Somalia’s capital is now in the control of Al Qaeda bandits. You know what is on the march? Iraqi Shia’ fleeing their mixed neighborhoods; Sunni’s fleeing their mixed neighborhoods. A case could be made of course, that rather than marching they are tucking and rolling.
But I HATE George W. Bush because he broke America’s covenant with our soldiers.
You see, I believe that when a man or women volunteers for service they are saying to us-“I am willing go to the ends of the earth and make the ultimate sacrifice to defend America’s liberty and way of life. I will give my limbs, eyes, ears and life. I believe in our way of life. I will die for you. “
America’s covenant with the soldier is this:
While you are risking life and limb for our freedom and way of life we will make sure that the constitution is protected from anything that circumvents that precious document. We will not pass amendments that take away freedoms. Before we send you into war, we will have all facts available. We will never fix the facts around the policy.
We will give you all the necessary equipment to protect yourselves. We will make sure there are enough troops to ensure success. We will give you a clearly defined mission and have an exit strategy.
If you are famous and killed we will not use your death for our public relations means. We will know who the enemy is and continue to think about him.
We will NEVER cut Veterans benefits as long as a soldier is at risk. We will ensure your family has all the necessary means to continue their lifestyle until you return. Your family will never have to leave their home or use foodstamps. If your wife has to work due to your deployment, we will cover the costs of childcare. If you are mentally or physically harmed we will provide all care that you deem necessary. If that means that taxes can’t be cut even increased, we will do it
There are a lot of reasons to dislike George W. Bush. There is one reason to hate him.

| May I suggest renaming this article with a title that is less inflammatory . . . maybe a little more familiar. How about: f*** you george bush

| Thanks AZ Mod. Yes, MIC. It did occur to me to steal a Title from our good friend on V of A---AntiChrist. But that almost seemed redundant. |

| I agree with AZ Moderate, and give your article a ten. The anger that I feel for this President with his lies and death he is responsible for is unacceptable. It would be a good thing to make him sit down and watch Baghad ER so he can see first hand what he's doing. This President isn't allowing the public to see the caskets of dead soldiers coming home because he believes it wouldn't be good, for him that is. |

| I guess all you have to do to get a 10 rating is say you hate george w. bush (or tell him to f*** off). I will not rate this article, because I don't think it deserves a 10*, but I don't want to get lynched. I think there is more than one reason to hate him, but it is the reason you hate him. You have stated your points well, but I think this article is a little redundant (there are many articles on this site about hating george w. bush). Anyway, because I agree with a lot of what you have to say, I guess I will change my mind about rating it and give it a solid 7.2. Oh ya, I intentionally left the capitalization off george w. bush's name, as I don't think he deserves it. I'm not very political though, so look forward to reading my next article about something that will most likely piss everyone off:D *I'll never get a ten rating |

| Hey NV, You gotta rate 'em as you see 'em. I think they rise and fall on their own merit. And sometimes a person gets surprised. For example, your pissed off heartfelt article about theater seats. Who woulda thunk that would have been so popular? So if you got a 10 all across the board, but it disappeared after 3 days vs sticking around for more than a week, what would you prefer? Rating is over-rated. (But I will admit is nice when you get a good rating) |

| Wait, is the torture, and rejection of the Geneva Convention by geo dubya under the unmbrella of breaking our nation's covenant to our troops? I don't think it is, but I really hated the little bitch for that. Or how about the deaths of 130,000 iraqis (by June of 2004) and the creation of a terrorism breeding ground and turning the Arab world against us. (before Iraq, 85% or more in every Muslim country was favoring the USA, and against Al Queda, now the Muslim countries are generally only pro US 10-15%!)

| Now you've gone and done it indie616! You have goaded me into writing an article on this theme. I started out to comment further on your fine article, but the comment just kept growing. Sooo ... consider "The Oval Office turned into an Offal Orifice by George W. Bush" at [link:www.voiceofarizona.com] to be a comment on your article. PS. once again I have to say I don't hate Dubya. I hate with a purple passion what he has done to America!! |

| I debated for a while about using the term "hate" especially in the title. It is an inflammatory term that I try to avoid applying to people directly. I have a dislike, sometimes intense, about some of his actions and policies. But my deep loathing of what his man his done to our military and their families, and to use them as props when giving speeches brings bile to my throat. I have studied GWB and his history. He is not a nice man. Not nice at all. |

| I am bringing this one back because as I wrote in my article at the time, there was one reason to hate GW Bush. I think that after tonight's speech, there are going to be two. Using our troops as cannon fodder to protect his legacy and leave the problem to the next President is a hateful thing to do. |
