Here are the results from a Zogby poll taken in Mexico about four years ago. Makes interesting reading. It seems that La Raza has plenty of fertile ground in which to plant the seeds of Aztlan.

“Zogby International conducted interviews of 801 adults chosen at random throughout Mexico, from Friday, May 25 to Saturday, May26, 2002. Slight weights were applied to age and education to more accurately reflect the population. The survey has a margin of sampling error of +/- 3.5%. Margins of error are higher among sub-groups.”

There is an important distinction between Mexican Hispanics and loyal valued American citizens of Hispanic decent. A like number of Americans are polled in the report, and I am convinced that the majority of Americans of all origins reflected their loyalty to America in the results.

Most of the illegal aliens among us, on the other hand, are derived from that Mexican Hispanic population across the border and carry those same sentiments revealed in that poll into our country. Crossing the border doesn't change cultural convictions very fast. Crossing it illegally not only doesn't change those convictions, but understandably reinforces them in a new and intimidating alien culture. Fertile ground for anti-American activists.

And La Raza is energetically plowing the fast expanding fertile field of Those sentiments here in the United States. La Raza's objectives are openly racist and alien to our democratic principles. And La Raza is very actively cultivating and harvesting the illegal aliens for its sinister purpose!

I am researching Zogby for an updated version of this poll, if one exists. In the meantime, read the full poll report against the backdrop of those recent Mexican flag demonstrations in our streets across America. Those sentiments certainly haven’t decreased over the last four years.

It seems apparent that the sentiments here are true--or true enough to shed light on the situation. I think the racism demonstrated by the chicano, la raza, etc. movement is pretty despicable, just like the racism that the brown people of the world have suffered from. More suffering doesn't add up to less pain or more justice, somehow, and yet we, the American way, puritanical in background, doesn't seem to get that equation. It is too bad that the first thing people "get" about America is the "retribution" thing. At risk of sounding like "why can't we all get along", let me say this: I really appreciate this country's civil engineering (which didn't come from Mexico); its language (ditto)--altho Spanish is beautiful, Portuguese is probably more so, if we were to actually pick one because we like it--lets take the good things from the culture, and leave the bad. Undeniably good Mexican culture: family values, and work ethic. Unfortunately, these are the same things that provide Mexicans (legal or otherwise) with the competitive advantage, at first--then, once established, the same kind of in-group behavior that they seem to deplore in the white upper middle class. Screw provincialism in all its forms--and up with people, wherever they're from--and lets stop letting the so-called "news" outlets toy with our opinions of each other with trumped up crap. And also--guys, lose the mexican flags, if you want support for your movement in this country. That's a little too in-your-face for you or for this country. Bad form. Love you, but how bout a little more cooperation with the legal side of things? Or is that another Mexican thing you think you can bring in here without checking in at customs--the habit of corruption? My guess is "yes"....

Looks like you've thought this through. I would like to add a couple of things the good things about Mexican culture; food and music.

But the "reconquista" is an ongoing issue, and after the Mexican Flag parades a few American flags aren't going to convince me that they were only kidding.

The Ohio Nutcase said it well in a comment in reference to an email they received: "Made a lot of sense to me !! I think this country - as diverse in culture a nation as she is, allows far too many other nationalities who have sought OUR WAY OF LIFE (and I STRESS that last phrase greatly !!)to all of the sudden scream "foul" when OUR WAY OF LIFE does not somehow meet what they left in the first place!! If you don't like it - GO HOME !!!! We were just fine before you came here, and will be just fine after you leave !!
