This is my first writing experience here - so bear with me. AA - you should be proud!

William - QUIT YOUR B******G !!! I am so fed up with reading your constant griping about how bad you have it. No one helps you? Your government doesn't support you? Your employer doesn't pay you what YOU think you are worth? I'm sorry - who ever said anyone but YOU is responsible for this? You had a family, so you COULDN'T go to college?! BULL !! I was married when I went through college - working full time, I still took a full time load in the evenings, and received my degree in just over 2 years !! You didn't have any money to go to college - no one would pay for it? BULL !! I spent 5 years serving this wonderful country of ours in the Army and earned my tuition ! Your employer doesn't pay you enough - you can't make over the minimum wage? BULL !! You are OVER QUALIFIED for many of the jobs out there? BULL !! If you were OVER QUALIFIED - by now you would have a job earning well over the minimum wage SOMEPLACE !!! Get off your A** and go LOOKING for it !!! The jobs are NOT going to come looking for you !! If all you can make is minimum wage - IMPROVE YOURSELF - make yourself more marketable !! My wife has a college degree, and when I first got out of the military, she took a job SHE was over qualified for (a receptionist position). By the time she left that company - she was the HR Manager !! You can't always start at the top !

William, I am sorry if I seem brash, or unsympathetic - but I worked hard to get to where I am. There are no shortcuts to success. You have to be willing to sweat, and make sacrifices. Nothing gets handed to you on a platter, unless you are born into it - and even then - it doesn't always happen.

If more people would get off their butts, and take a good hard look in the mirror - maybe they could realize that if only they would take the time to take - even a couple of classes - or be willing to start low on the totem pole - they could get somewhere. Instead, so much of our population seem to want to stay on the welfare rolls, and live off of the hard working, tax paying citizens who have made the sacrifices, and walked the full path to whatever success we enjoy.

I am proud to live in this country. I am proud to have served its military and people. And I am proud to support its government - good, bad, or indifferent. We elected them - complain if you wish - it's the right of every tax paying citizen who votes - but support them all the same. UNITED we stand !!

Well, you have failed to comprehend any of my writing. I wasn't talking about me but a lot of other Americans. As a vietnam vet, there were more factors which let me to my lack of finish college. Of course, I was subject to the draft;can you say the same? If you serve in the military, good for you but our timelines are completely different so you can not truly understand where I am coming from. To need to go out and gather ammo(knowledge) and then come back when your armed. Like I said before, get with your buddies AA and Tonyd to set up the debate between AA and me. You could probaly help finance this debate if you really care. I be waiting to hear from you.

Oh, the librul media hates Bush, republicans, etc...

Woe, the akteevist judges are ruining America by letting blacks attend white schools, making contraception and abortion available, etc

sob, sob, whine, gol-durn librul gonna let gays marry?

look ohio Hazelnut-case, when you can stop living in fear of judges, gays, leebruls, ay-rabs, etc then you start discussing real issues.

As your first step into writting indicates you are passionate about what you believe. I am indeed proud of you. Like you sadi, start off low on the totem pole, and you did just that by talking to William. Good place to start, however I think you can move up to really wirtting now. One round with the bottom dweller is enough to earn your wings.

William, you walked a fine line there when you mantioned Ohio's service to this country. Not sure how you got a time line out of anything he said, he could easily be your age or much older or younger, either way you nearly insulted the man for serving volentarily.(My appologies to Vector if mis-spelt)

The point is that you have made all of these arguements over the past several months. You have been so self absorbered with your problems and you have transferred those to the general public. You obviously believe that if you have had it hard, we must have, and if we have it fairly good today, we must have cheated to get here.

And any financing of a debate between you and I will be financed by you and I. There is the fundimental difference between us. I pay my own way, you look for someone else to carry you.

One question for you William, how do you feel about Charter Schools? Let's debate the issues William. Like I said, you pick the place and time, I'll be there.

God it's good to see some logic coming on board. Good job Ohio. I really admire self made people. Tell your clear headed friends to come on board so we can talk about the issues, instead of ripping on the president, talking about oil and how the president keeps them from getting ahead. Like I have told people for years. It does not matter who is in office, all I know is I have to get up every morning and make it happen. I don't blame one man for my problems. You will find many on this site have a daily obsession with the president and blaming him for everything. I think Chris Rock said that George Bush hates midgets. That kind of sums it up. I know John Kerry would of taken us to the promised land and I know Howard Dean will save America in 08. Once that happens we will get back on track. And monkeys will fly out of my butt.

I agree, it's time to stop whining and deal with something substantive.

All of yesterday's newspapers carried photos of the Iranian's celebration of having achieved the ability to produce enriched uranium, despite the UN and the US demand that they stop.

Iran has answered those demands with a proposal that they be permitted to continue to develop nuclear energy sources, granting broad powers to international inspectors to monitor the process.

Now, do you support the President's plan to employ nuclear bunker-buster bombs to take out Iran's uranium refining and development capabliity?

If not, how do you think the Us and/or the UN should proceed.

Look forward to your reply.

Hey, ONC,

I, too, agree that we need to stop whining. How about giving us a rundown on the positives that you see in
1. Bush's Supreme Court appointees;
2. Bush's cutbacks in the Medicaid-financed health care and Health Savings Accounts;
3. Bush's Medicare Prescription Drug Program;
4. Bush's refusal to address the Downing Street Memo and House Republican's blocking John Conyers' motion for an investigation?
5. Bush's release of the Iraq NIE to discredit Joe Wilson;
6. Bush's contention that Iraq was trying to buy yellowcake from Niger;
7. Bush's use of the signing statement to get around John McCain's Anti-Torture legislation;
8. Bush's cronyism in cabinent appointments, in general, and, specifically, the improvements that Negroponte has made in the intelligence community - ditto for Chertoff at Homeland Security;
9. Bush's guest worker program;
10. Bush's tapping of our telephones and email inboxes.

A catalogue of Bush's positive achievements in these areas would level the VoA playing field better that the circlejerk you're having with BAA Boy, Norm and tonywhatzit.

William - I have just finished spending some time re-reading most of your recent articles. I'm sorry - but I think you were a bit too close to the chemicals in Vietnam if you expect me to believe all of these were written about "others" !! They all lead straight to you and your own troubles. Now, you speak about just not finishing college - did you ever start? I can understand it being interupted by the war - but if you failed to finish - once again - your fault - no one else's !! Are you disabled? If so, I am sorry something like that happened to you, but here again, in this day and age - there are so many programs that would ahve enabled you to get your education.

William - I agree with AA - pay your own way - and take some writting and speach lessons prior to ever going out and trying to debate in public. If you talk as poorly as you write - you will have a very short political career.

Phaedrus - Not too sure where on earth you got the drivvle you wrote in your comment - here again - I think you have been sniffing too many chemicals. There was no mention or even indication of fear of any type in my article - go back to your crack pipe.

RDRover - Do not know where you got your information concerning Bush planning on using bunker buster nukes on Iran - I think you are trying to start your own conspiracy theory here. Would I support it? - I do not think that all diplomatic avenues have been exhausted yet. Once, and if that happens - and we are absolutely positive that they are, in fact, trying to create nuclear weapons - AND if the ENTIRE international community is on board as well........go for it. But - I think we will see hell freeze over before all of those criteria are met. One of my biggest fears in life is the use of nuclear weapons - because once the first button is pushed - it's end game ... check-mate.

June - I will be glad to address each of those items - if you can give me just as many positives concerning Clinton's, or any Democratic president's tenures. Look - I will not argue that Bush has made mistakes during his presidency - but so has every other U.S. president throughout history. Once again - quit the whining and finger pointing and GET ON WITH LIFE !!
