It seems that the pendulum of societal enablement is swinging from full metal jacket neo-conservatism to Bleeding-Heart liberalism. If so, it is sudden and unexpected. And welcome and unwelcome.
It is welcome because we have lost a huge chunk of the America we had a right to be proud of to the Neo-ConNazis that have wrested control of the Republican Party from the real Conservatives. Harry Taylor read my thoughts when he so eloquently told Bush in North Carolina that “… in my lifetime, I have never felt more ashamed of, nor more frightened by my leadership in Washington, including the presidency, by the Senate…” I couldn’t agree more with his statement. These Neo-conNazies are a fascist threat to my America. They have to be expunged from the seats of power without DeLay.
But the Democrat Party’s alliance with the illegal alien amnesty movement within our borders serves to threaten the very sovereignty of the United States of America. This I cannot understand, as it is a clear and present danger to my America from the extreme left. And that is the unwelcome direction in the arc of the pendulum.
When will the great moderate Middle America rise up and flex its dormant muscle?!? It better happen before this corrupt leadership of ours sells us completely down the river and there is no America left to rise up and be heard in!!
While there are pressing issues on both sides of the center, right now the most immediate issue is the lose of America’s sovereignty to these rampaging supporters of illegal-alien open-border annexation-of-part-of-America-by-Mexico crowd. This has to be stopped.
There is precious little organized resistance to this movement that seeks to wrest our country from us, but I would like to share a new site with those of you that care about this issue:
o NoInvaders.org
o Boycott Companies
o Directory of Boycotted Companies
o Report illegal employers to the FBI, IRS and ICE
The real source of the problem is not the illegal aliens – it is the organizations and people that cynically exploit them. This spectrum of greed extends from La Raza through Corporate America to the Democrat Party itself, with a band of unions, Republicans and others to add color to the spectrum.
And don't waste good straw on the obligatory straw man arguments. Feed it to your jackasses on both sides of the border. They will bite on it – I won’t! The issue here is the national sovereignty of my America – period!!

An aside. This article started to load normally after I'd clicked on Read More, then suddenly my screen went blank - all but the VoA and the article header - then BAM! That NoInvaders.Org sign leapt onto the screen! Damn, if I'd have been a quail, Cheney'da had me!
How do you program that special effect?
Aside number 2. In a previous life, I was an avid biker - coast-to-coast stuff, a dozen or so times - and I read all the obligatory biker raunch, for the technical articles, natch. But, one day, I spotted an ad that promised any phoney document you wanted, short of a passport. Fascinated, some of my colleagues and I decided to see what that stuff looked like.
We got a Social Security card, a Washington State Driver's License (laminated, with photo) and an International Driver's License that were as good as the originals. Damn and double damn!
June's article about the GAO smuggling radioactive material across the border with forged documents brought that experience to mind.
More recently, I've spoken with several legit small business owners who employ many Hispanics in outdoor jobs. To a man, they're petrified by the prospect of discovering that some of their employees are using bogus papers.
Also, to a man, they say they know of competitors who do hire folks with bogus papers. Explanations are cryptic, though.
That got me to wondering if we could rely on employers to enforce the immigration law. Seemed if the penalty were so gigundo that they'd really be at risk for trucking in illegal labor, it might work.
Then, I remembered we have a traditionally pro-business Republican Congress.
Maybe it's best to keep the legislation in limbo until we can elect a Congress that says, "Hell yes, the employers should pay, big time!"; until we can impeach Bush and blunt his lawmaking by signing statement; and until we figure out how to deal with bogus documents so good that only the authorities can distinguish them from the real McCoy.
Let's see, all that could happen by November - if we get our act together!
