What does "rapid development of new programs" mean? Do any of you speak Bus***e?

"At home, FBI Director Robert Mueller violates his oath of office by allowing agents to illegally spy on citizens only exercising their constitutional right of protest. Michael Chertoff, who is so incompetent running Homeland Security his behavior borders on criminal, is quietly spending $387 million with a Halliburton subsidiary to construct detention camps at secret locations across America to house up to several hundred thousand people for the undefined "rapid development of new programs." Is the NSA making a Nixonian "enemys list" and checking it twice for the Bus***e Regime?

I just recalled another interpretation by my illusive author of Nastrodamus’ quatrains: The United States would, despite assurances that it could never happen again, intern in panic an ethnic sub-group of American citizens in the same way that Japanese Americans were interned during the Second World War.

Another timely topic, AZ. I've read nothing about the "new program" associated with this construction since I first read about it some time ago. The awarding of the contract triggered all manner of speculation - ostensibly, it was to increase INS detention capacity - but the Administration has kept mum on that as well as any alternatives uses it has in mind.

Who know, perhaps it's related to some social contingency plan that's predicated on retaining control of Congress after the midterm elections?

If anyone's picked up any more info on this, I hopr they'll comment. It's still a mystery to me.

How does one approach this problems: by going to the voting poll and voting those out who show the lack of concerns for most Americans. In my district which is CD2, Franks show just this trait and therefore in my opinion, he is bought and paid for by special interest groups and his fellow representative who also show this attitude. For all those who don't vote, alone it don't but start to put it with others and you will be surprised. Crum 4 Congress, lets start the process.

A caller on the Jeff Farias show today stated that there were four hundred (then he changed his mind and said two hundred) of these detention camps all stocked with supplies, manned and ready to go.

Are these for Der Greater Homeland Re-education Project?

Do you suppose GTMO is a pilot project for "rapid development of new programs" project?

This would be funny, if it were funny, but it ain't...

I think speculating on for whom these buildings exist to house is moot. I think screaming bloody murder and pointing at them like crazed pod-people (believe it or not) is not moot--well--as an appropriate reaction anyway.

Think about it. Knowing this is ongoing, knowing BlackWater is a privatized army (for all intents and purposes), knowing the courts have been packed with at least 180 Bush loyalists--not to mention the 3 Supreme Court Opus Dei Catholics who have taken religious oaths to put religion before state (oh, yes they do)--judges who will represent the law of the land and knowing that laws being decreed by signing statements instead of Congress should terrify the hell out of you.

Reminds me of cows plodding slowly through the slaughterhouse paddocks wondering what all the mooing at the end of the chutes is about...

Forget Al Qaeda. They have to get into the country, create intricate plans and then kill themselves to ultimately kill you. Whoever is behind this stuff is simply slipping it by you in late night planning sessions and breakfast prayer meetings.

Who will end up in these detention centers? Humans, no matter what. Does it matter if it isn't you tomorrow? It will be you the day after...

Don't forget NSPD 51, without which all these detention camps might go unused. One by one, this Administration has put their black pieces in place, and they have silently picked off our white pieces. Call me conspiratorial here, but I feel like we're being set up for mate. The endgame could be a war with Iran, or an anthrax attack, or a radiological bomb. It could be any "terrorist" attack, and it doesn't have to be against us, per se. It could be one of our close allies. That would be enough if we're scared sufficiently. That way Bush can say he kept us safe. As Chertoff says, I have a gut feeling about this.

My gut also tells me the attack won't really come from Al Qaeda. It's not safe for Al Qaeda to be visiting the US these days. It's not safe for anyone to visit the US these days.
