RESPONSE TO DR. TRUTH...Whites Quick to Call Blacks Racist

You forgot to mention how you feel about, "the white folk" and as far as affecting "positive change in your community" you better brush up on your manners when you're outside that community because most people in the real world ain't buying the bull ****. You might want to take a course on "the white folk" instead of focusing all your time on your African American Studies, especially if all your going to do is run"the white folk" down. I can't wait to hear you sing us all a song.. wait I believe you may have already started one with these lyrics from another funny post, "Obama 08 For Common Sense Sake". Sounds like the beginning of a top 10 hit where you come from...fantasy land.

Actually, Bobby, there are slaves in America today.

They are called immigrant farm workers. There was a great article in National Geographic on modern slavery, back 3-4 years ago. It included slaves on a sugar plantation in Florida, in the USA, next door to a posh country club. The plantation included a whipping post, and stocks. This was in operation in the last 10 years. They also found dead bodies on the farm.

Closer to home, in AZ the way many illegal employers treat their employees is nearly as bad, including the guy with the sand and rock operation in Prescott, who when his slave had his arms ripped off, he dropped the guy at the ER with a concocted story. The illegal employer wound up in prison.

Thank you for the update guys, I do appreciate it.  I do recognize that there are isolated idiots world wide who are willing to degrade the human "race", but my point to Dr. Truth was more directed at his opinion that, "Black people can not be racist by the very definition of the word." When in fact there are blacks out there who are also willing to keep slaves not just Dr Truth's "white folk".  If you look back in history at issues surrounding slavery and racism, "It is a common argument that slavery was the result of a racist worldview."  Black historian Eric Williams challenged this. He wrote, “Slavery was not born of racism – rather, racism was the consequence of slavery.” .  So my point was simply that if blacks are willing to have slaves and in some cases even sold off their own people during the slave trade, that they can also be racist.  See below:

Dr. Truth's attack on this country is not based on the facts but rather on his own personal ideas and racist attitude toward "white folk".  He claims to have a BA in African American Studies, in which case I would assume that he spent time trying to learn the facts, instead it appears that he spent that effort fueling his hatred and hostility toward "white folk" and our country.  Higher learning is meant to educate not validate social opinions that are based on attitudes not willing to be enlightened.  He thinks that because he has his BA in African American Studies that it gives him a right to harbor ill will toward any and all "white folk" and that by definition he, being black, cannot be racist.  I call it all hogwash.  He is in fact the true definition of racist.

It's my opinion that we, in the US, are all Americans and that we should act like it, and those that oppose our country and culture as much as DR. Truth, should just move on to what suits them better.  Who's making them stay, why not just leave???  I do appreciate all logical responses.  Thank you.
