Restaurants now need to make *separate* noise-proof rooms for children that have ignorant "parents" that won't keep them quiet, & let them run amok, playing with the clean settings on the other vacant tables, or pounding on the back-glass of booths annoying THOSE patrons!
If they can't control their kids...... STAY HOME!!!! Same goes for movie theaters, or ANYWHERE out in public, for that matter.
Put them in w/the smokers - let them destroy each other & NOT MY, what WAS til THEY arrived, PEACEFUL MEAL!!
I have 3 children. They are all grown in their 20's now, & very loving young men, with well-mannered children of their own, but not ONCE did someone have to complain about them, or go to the manager & have THEM say something, as I have had to do. If anything, patrons came up & CONGRATULATED me on such wonderfully behaved children. (And it WASN'T because they were beaten, or abused. THEY WERE TAUGHT MANNERS, that's ALL. )
This "diatribe" comes after a very disturbed meal at the Cheesecake Factory in Chandler this past Saturday. 2 women, 1 of which had 2 children, 1 of which was about 3 years old. She was allowed to run amok on the l-o-n-g booth seat, mess up the the table settings, bank on the back-glass of the booths behind them, & SHREAK continuously.
My guest went over & told the mother that if she couldn't control her child she shouldn't have children, & if she DIDN'T control her she would get the manager.
They left & went to the restroom & came back. In the meantime a many of the other patrons that had been there CAME OVER & THANKED US for saying something to them.
MORE people need to start speaking out. According to the police departments they say you shouldn't handle it yourself (as I'd tried to tell my friend). Go to the manager, otherwise you may suffer the wrath of these disturbed parents who let their children run amok in restaurants, etc., as we did. The sister made a vicious remark as they left the restaurant an hour later. But, that's ok. SHE has to live with herself, we don't.
