“When the Senate voted this week to bring America's chain of military prison camps under the rule of law, President Bush threatened a veto.” (“Binding the Hands of Torturers”, Editorial, October 8, 2005)
My God, this anti-American president simply doesn’t get it! He disdains the very principles that define America.
Given unrestricted license, he would certainly not stop with foreign detainees.
Even more frightening are those Americans that implement his policies in dark secret places known only to this secretive administration.
The SS in NAZI Germany was populated by normal people (doctors, scholars, tradesmen) that were given God-like power over others. While some were never more than monsters, most did not start out that way on their journey to Hell.
Hitler and his henchmen live among us – always. These evildoers must never be allowed to germinate and grow – and to recruit normal people in the service of their sinister agenda.

The Senate version has Senator John McCain’s amendment prohibiting torture of detainees by the U.S. government.
Incredibly, the current President of the United States of America has threatened his very first veto because of that amendment.
Vice President Cheney and CIA Director Porter Goss urged Sen. John McCain to support an exemption because “the president needs maximum flexibility” to torture people in secret dark places.
The issue will in all likelihood be decided in private by four key members of the committee:
Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska)
Cheney defends torture
Sarah Palin, are you in (let’s torture them) or are you out (un-American to say nothing of immoral and obscene). Are you a team player or not??
