My poems don't make sense to some. But I hope this one does.

Mothers forever in our hearts

Thinking back through the years of the life that I’ve known,

All the things I’ve seen and done

No matter what I came up with or whatever I was shown,

Nothing has replaced my mother’s love.

She was the one who took me to school games and such

Nurtured my hurt feelings and my scraped knee

Let me do kid things, taught me to be tender but tough

Always gave of herself unselfishly.

All of the experience one can get and all of the studying you may do,

Nothing will ever be more clear

The most natural thing in the world is a mother caring for you,

And when I think of her it always brings a tear.

Myself, and so many others have been blessed

With mothers thinking of us children before themselves

Guiding us, being there for our needs, doing their very best

Mother’s Day is every day, forever and always in our hearts.
