I didn't live back then but because there was a united consensus on something people who strayed from doing what was needed for the war effort maybe were chastized by others. It was a national security issue then just like it is heading towards now.

That's what we need right now. People coming together to do what is needed. Not "I'll do my thing" regardless of how wasteful it obviously is.

Whether anyone likes Mc Cain or Obama right now is their own choice. But one thing I have noticed over and over. If Obama says something they broadcast him saying it. If Mc Cain says something in counter the news person says it. Almost every time! It is weird!

Anyone else notice this particular media partiality? I sure have. It happened just minutes ago when Obama talked about opening up the strategic oil reserves. You heard Obama's voice. You then heard the news man's voice what Mc Cain said.

 One thing I like is there is no news media bias is there?

 No, more optimists like me who face reality instead of a fantasy liberal land and the country will move forward.

I do my part. Always have. Always will. Whether it be for gas mileage, energy, or the like. I just don't have grand plans like Liberals which never seem to get off the ground. Never seem to do much of anything.

I wonder what it would be like for Liberals if in the medical field all these medical businesses  were told they were going to be charged heavily to fund a cure for cancer. Oh, but when they make money it is not a windfall? Only with oil? I see. They'd hardly sit still for that that's for sure. For some reason people are always for taxing the hell out of a business when they are making money but they want less taxes for them no matter what percentage of profits they would make or how much of a nest egg they have.. Interesting.

Why is it liberal radio does not succeed?

 Remember when KFYI had alternate hosts such as Dr. Mike who was Liberal?  Bob Mohan, Micheal Savage, Mike Gallagher, Barry Young as conservatives?

It didn't work. Bob Mohan and Dr. Mike finally got in to it one day. What happened to Air America? Why can't they get a continuous supply of sponsors?

Why? Because Liberal radio sounds good but in reality does not work. I have never seen a talk radio outlet that had so much trouble being financed. There was one good talk show host on Air America. At least he let people talk. But he got in to a squabble with Air America. What was his name? A nice talking guy.

I would not want to be a successful business under a Liberal President and have to pay to solve everyone else's problems.

Plenty! Because so many people don't even want to hear what Liberal radio has to say.

You can bet both sides want to do something about gas mileage, cancer,taxes, and everything except media  bias which nothing can be done about.

 But get your Liberal friends to go back in session and solve something, anything. They get enough vacations as it is.

Even the cowardly Pelosi should go back and turn on the lights.
