I am tired of dueling with you Tom.  It is a distraction and a complete waste of time.  I was under the misconception that the Voice of Arizona does not seek to impose strict rules of conduct, but rather relies upon its members to police each other.  I tried to do that but you called my bluff:  it's not my site and I can't ban you.  Maybe it is only me that thinks your approach -- you unhindered free speech to launch abusive, personal, and unnecessarily derisive attacks -- discourages everyone else's free speech at this site.  Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that every voiced opinion should not be followed by an insult.  I have stooped to going t*t for tat with you, and that was a big mistake. 

I cannot think of one time that I started a fight with you by throwing out the first insult (my insults have all been retaliatory).  However you do it continually, using the excuse that you're innocently promoting thought.  It's all goes in one direction with you; when we're praising you, all is well, and when we differ with you, the flame war starts.  When you write something I agree with, I say so.  How many times have I written "You're right Tom."?  But when you say something I don't agree with, and I try to debate you, I know exactly what's coming next.  Now it seems that after every comment I make, to you or anyone else, there's another senseless and juvenile attack from Tom Carter.  That's why I think the only reason you are here is to see how much s*** you can stir up -- not to teach us or learn from us -- just to f*** around.

I won't take you on myself anymore.  You seem to have far more time on your hands to continue this back and forth indefinitely, and it doesn't get me anywhere.  So I'm done.  Anything negative from you, any attack from you, directed at me or someone else -- any BS at all -- and I'll just pretend you're not there.  So have at it . . . I won't fight back.  You can be Top Cat until someone else tries to beat you back with a broom.
