It amazes me that the media and our political institutions are paying so much attention to the execution of Saddam Huisain.  Supposedly, he was tried and convicted of crimes he committed in his own country and the victims were his own people.  It seems our media, and our governace here in the USA should not be focusing on this matter, in light of all the other things that are going on, including the death of a former President.  But of course, they do.  To me it seems as if they circle like politcal vultures.

After the political grasping for straws to rally that this evil man has been brought to justice, and that somehow the Iraqi people, as they trimble in fear for thier own safety are supposed to celebrate and thank Americans for his downfall.  Somehow, after Saddam Huissain is executed, peace is supposed to break out all over the mideast and they Arabs are supposed to welcome the end of his regime with parades and parties all over.  And then we wake up and smell the gunpowder.

What I belive will be really going on after Saddam meets his justice is that a lot of sweaty brows will be wiped by those in power.  They know how complicit Americans, and American companies were in the supply of chemical weapons (and other types of weapons) to Saddam Huissain, especially to use them against Iranians.  They see a witness against them going to his demise in a "selected" choice of cases.

I am not sure what will become of Iraq after the end of Saddam's life, but I am sure that justice to ALL of his victims will not be fully served until ALL of those complicit in thier harm are brought to justice.
