I am a huge fan of the understatement. I guess it’s my English heritage.

Actually I am a good old American Mongrel, and damned proud of it. But the English are privileged to be represented along with several other nationalities in this American Mongrel.

So I can claim English heritage, and I can claim to appreciate the sterling dry humor and powerful understated comedy of the Brits.

I would like to share a 30 second YouTube spot with you.

I laughed and I cried in the 29^th second. This is a classic English knockout punch in a English Leather glove of undrstatement that even an Englishman could be proud of!

So your child can't decide when he is of age if he wants to volunteer for the military or vote for someone you disagree with or hold any political views you disagree with. After all you didn't abort the kid so he owes you a lifetime of absolute loyalty. Now that's Progryssve thought we can believe in!

And if we elect democrats all of his needs will be provided for by the nanny state.

He will eaxchange his mother's milk for the teet of Government.

He will live in bliss where there are no decisions to be made only privlages granted father government.

He will have no more and no less than his fellow sheep.

If he has an opinion it will be one given to him.

If he has a job it will be one assigned to him.

Won't that be grand!

I'm sorry, postman, you work for whom? Oh, the federal govt. Anyone ever notice the people who scream loudest against people living on the federal teet, they always seem to have jobs with the government, or with big, monopolies that get special govt treatment, like utilities?

The United States Postal Service is a Quasi-Government Agency. I bet you don't know that the service isn't allowed to make a profit. I bet you don't know that it is self sustaining business that operates by selling its service, under government control, and is not allowed to set it's own prices.

I bet you couldn't hack the 112 degree days,that your fat ass would melt like a Heshey bar, and your probably one of the losers who are home "waitin for their check" so you can go get another bottle of ripple.

I'm not sure what this new fascination with count-up clocks is, on the part of Republicans -- clocks that are meant to show when Barack Obama last visited one particular television program, or last visited Iraq, or refused to respond to McCain's demand for a series of townhall meetings.
