William,
Please do not get in the habit of posting every one of your comments as a separate article. I wrote an article yesterday and posted it late evening. No doubt, I spent slightly more time composing it than you did putting together your latest three sentence pitch for congress.
And this morning my latest literary forte is nowhere to be found on the front page, instead displaced by yet another provocatively titled article like: Its Sunday Now, Are We, You Wouldn't Believe, and Sometimes I Wonder.
William, I think that the rest of us would like a little time in the sun too.
Welcome back from your self-imposed exile. Now don't make us tar and feather you, and put you on the next horse out of town.
P.S. I like this comment so much, I'm going to post it as a stand-alone article.

Amen MoronInCharge. Let me take that perhaps a step further. William, I just posted this on AC’s article, then saw MoronInCharge’s comment on this article of yours. Apparently we were thinking much the same thing at the same time so I am going to post it here also. Now he has elevated this issue to the status of an article. Right on, MoronInCharge. __________________________________________________________________________ William, Hispanic Woman put it succinctly: William, why do you always plug your candidacy? Can you write an article that is not simply the shop window for your candidacy? William, now you’ve gone and done it! You’ve whipped AC into a slobbering frenzy. I can see him clenching and unclenching his fist in paroxysms of teeth gritting rage as he sits impotently before his monitor, wishing only that he could reach through it to grasp you by the throat. You are cluttering the site with a lot of small-talk pabulum and sloppy boiler-plate homilies rather than well-researched and coherently presented positions. This rapid fire inanity that is always mostly about you moves postings of a more substantial and interesting nature too quickly out of view. I see that you have upwards of FIVE (5) pages of this stuff. And looking at the latest two pages, your rankings trend decidedly downward. Might this be an indication that your rapid fire campaign of banalities is starting to irritate a few and might be counterproductive?!? Oh ya, and WHAT DID YOU MEAN BY “illegal citizen”?!? Haave a Niiice Dayaaay (Round Smiley Face goes here).

Sorry MoronInCharge. We crossed in the wires, and your comment beat me to the comment stream. The the site put the irritating obligatory 10 minute hiatus on another comment by the same denizen of VofA, so I don’t know where in the stream this will finally come to rest. By the way folks, that was my ten, not MoronInCharge's. Let's get this comment up there on the marquee. Willy, may we have your attention?!?

I finally figured it out! William Crum is George W. Bush! Think about it: 1) both are illiterate. 2) neither will listen to good advice 3) both use religious quotes frequently 4) both tend to hog the media 5) neither have a good plan for anything 6) both use tired old quotes over and over and over 7) neither will answer the most pressing questions asked of them. William Crum CAN grow up to be President! Good God people, we have to stop this candidacy right in its tracks!

I think we cross-posted several times duirng the last few minutes. C'est la vie. Anyway, I had to think about this a little. Who am I to be critiquing William for his activity here? Who am I do lash out at Impeach Bush for posted his campaign billboards all over this site? This is a free speech zone, right? Then I got to thinking about pornographic newsgroups. Now I know that you wouldn't know a thing about this AZ Moderate, nor would any one of the other good people at Voice of Arizona (Antichrist?). But it seems that there is a real problem with child pornographers, posting their crap in newsgroups specifically dedicated to wholesome 100% consenting adult people f--king and s--king ( and p--ing and sh-ting, and what not). If this kind of activity were to go unchecked, then there would be no place left for law abiding citizens . . . friends of mine, not me!!! . . . to get their daily dose of porn (save for about 100 million websites dedicated to the same thing). What I am getting at is that we, in this little website experiment in writing democracy, are the voters and the civilian police of our neighborhood. We can't stop people from polluting this space with political pitches, or stream of consciousness ramblings, or even ads for Viagra. But we can, and should, verbally slap them back if they affront us with their version of child porn.

I did accomplish one thing if nothing else, I shook the tree and look what fell out: a herd of discontents. A simple solution to the problem would be for me to stop; I know now that is not going to happen. The reason I push my candidacy on this site is because it is free and being I am a candidate with limited funds-I push. MIC, I sorry about putting you off the front page but that is life. Be glad I am not asking for the two thousand dollars to get my sign because I would have to exile myself again. I want to represent you all and that's it.

William, you are not just pushing my articles off the front page. You are pushing everybody's hard work out of easy sight. There are people submitting to this site that have researched, and fact-checked, and pondered, and composed, and mulled some more, then researched again, and rechecked their assumptions, then edited, and PROOF-READ; and in short, have gone to great lengths to publish an article here that they are proud of and want people to read. Yes William, that is life. It's not always fair, and it's a free world where "War and Peace" gets equal airtime with "Its Sunday Now." But you miss the point: HAVE SOME CONSIDERATION! There, I'm back on top again. Aaaaaaah!!!

Not to belabor the point, but here is one more analogy. Yesterday I was watching a program my wife had taped called Globetrekker. The host(s) go to exotic locations around the world and act like total buffoons, but it's interesting sometimes nevertheless. In this one particular episode the female host was filming at Mosada along with a tour guide/archeologist. While the camera was running, this host decided it would be funny and good cinema to admit that as a young girl visiting Mosada, she had swiped a small piece of tile from one of the ancient mosaic stoneworks at the site. She then produced a small colored rock from her pocket and gave it to the archeologist, saying "I thought I should return this." You should have seen the horriffied look on the archeologist's face. He said to her: We have millions of visitors every year, and if everyone decided to take a small piece of the ruin back home with them, there would be nothing left. So with the camera running, and seeing that her "honesty" backfired on her, she tried to act all cutesy and say "I wanted you to forgive me. Please don't be mad!" Well that's the kind of innocent abusing of the system that William is doing. He can do it. There's no law against it. No one is going to boot him off the site for taking free plugs for his race, no one will ban Impeach Bush for his political canvassing, and no one will ban you for your language (which is hilarious BTW don't stop). But if everybody keeps dropping their garbage at our little National Park, sooner or later no one will want to visit.
