The comment was made somewhere along the line on the “news” that the prostitute told her boss that he gave her a big tip.
When I was in the military lo these many years ago, we would on rare occasion frequent the bars. Of course there were working girls in those bars on occasion. I remember that we were talking with a couple of the girls one time, and asked if they had a retirement plan or any other benefits?
They said they did not, but that ”In the ‘ritzy uptown’ trade that the girls do have those things.”
So we suggested to these girls that the money they made must make up for it to some extent.
One of the girls then said “No, the wages are not all that great. But because of volume we get a HUGE TIP sometimes, and that makes it all worthwhile.”
Which brings me to the point: Just how big was Elliot Spitzer’s TIP?!?
A Conundrum
