EXCERPT: I am starting this thread so I have on place to dump all my rantings on this mess. To start with, the central problem in the whole mess was the Fed abdicating their role in oversight and regulation of the lenders, and the unscrupulous lenders realizing that the once the cats away, the mice can play. Say what you will (and give me time and I'll throw mud at every other player) without the easy money of reduced documentation loans going to people that had no business taking out...

EXCERPT: It seems our favorite nickname is back in the news, for Scottie McClellan has written a book, that includes something that makes real Republotard He-Men cringe with dread - Scottie incuded some truth. Not Fox News Truthiness (TM) or Bush Administration bulls***, but actual, factual truth. And it is the ray of sunshine that is going to be the death of the Bush Vampires.
It seems Mr McClellan unknowingly lied, in press conferences, because Emperor Chuckle Nuts lied to him ...

EXCERPT: OK, I think it is pretty clear at this point that the Republicans nationally, George W Bush and Dick Cheney clearly want Al Queda and Osama Bin Laden to run free, live long happy lives, and to continue to spread terror around the world. If they didn't the GOP would have made going after the terrorists a real priority. So the question becomes, why do Republicans love the terrorists, and hate America so much? I'll start off with some thoughts...

EXCERPT: I’ve been waiting to see if anyone else was going to put any thing here about the Arizona Republic’s editorial a few weeks ago calling for a political truce and a return to decency in our national discourse. This preceded the MoveOn.org Ad attacking Bush, and follows 3 decades of the politics of personal destruction that has been the calling card of Lee Atwater, Karl Rove and the Willie Horton Ad style discourse we have come to expect from the Republican Party.

EXCERPT: Hello Boys and Girls, thanks to Indie, here is my homework assignment on Instant Runoff Voting, which is largely plagiarized from How IRV Works – from instantrunoff.com IRV uses ranked ballots to simulate a traditional runoff in a single round of voting. Voters rank candidates in order of preference. They may rank as many or as few candidates as they wish, with lower rankings never counting against higher rankings. First choices are tabulated. If a candidate receives...

EXCERPT: OK, the healthcare article from CLB has evolved into a Social Security one, and the righties are spinning lies faster than Ol’ Doc Moron can refute them. Here are the facts on Social Security and what FDR intended. Before Social Security, all of Hunter’s, Winger’s and TomCat’s assertions about free markets and individual liberty were the norm. That laissez faire free market thinking brought us the Great Depression. At that time, people worked until they...

EXCERPT: So now, US Senator David Vitter name is added to the long list of Family Values Republotards who reached for power demanding that Democratic elected officials resign for the sin of adultery, and then turn around and commit the same act themselves. Vitter raised the bar, though, by needing to pay for it, from a prostitute. You'd have thunk he could have just leaned over and asked Mark Foley for a little love, but whatever.

EXCERPT: So this week's Iraq updates;
First the deadliest day of the war was Wed. with over 200 Iraqis killed. This is also the worst 6 month stretch for US losses.
2nd, Bush met with Pelosi and Reid, and Reid pointed out that Bush has lost Iraq, told it to his face, and the Democratic House and Senate would not take out the timetable for withdrawl. They also have the votes to keep the timelines in the emergency funding bill.
3rd, then Reid publicly stated that Bush has lost Iraq....

EXCERPT: This Saturday morning, (March 10th, 2007) while driving up to Prescott, I was listening in on 1480 AM, Nova M Radio Network, around 09:30 AZ time, when a self described Christian and Republican called in asking why the preachers on the show supported welfare, and shouldn't poor folks suffer the effects of their irresponsible behavior. Which lead me to wonder, “What frigging bible do conservatives read?!”
