EXCERPT: The presidential election It's time Oct 30th 2008
From The Economist print edition America should take a chance and make Barack Obama the next leader of the free world […] At the beginning of this election year, there were strong arguments against putting another Republican in the White House. A spell in opposition seemed apt punishment for the incompetence, cronyism and extremism of the Bush presidency. Conservative America also...

EXCERPT: We have all heard the old saying, “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” This year we are being force fed by most media that we are witnessing history in the making and that if there is any repeating of history at work here, it is to be the 1980 Reagan Revolution that we are watching in modern times and geared towards Progressive thought. An awakening of sorts to the supposed failures of the fore mentioned 1980’s scenario.
Of course that can only be seen in...

EXCERPT: The presidential election It's time Oct 30th 2008
From The Economist print edition The very prestigious international weekly magazine, The Economist, based in London, has published for over 100 years. It is a tremendous source of economic, political, cultural, scientific, technological and other types of information. It is a conservative magazine, but with a truly clear eyed conservative view of the world. It is a...

EXCERPT: Boy, this election has really gotten away from McCain. The Casper Wyoming hometown paper of Dick Cheney, the Casper Star-Tribune endorsed Obama. Not only endorsed him, but ripped the current occupants of the White House.
Here is a snippet:
The next occupant of the White House will inherit a national economy that’s collapsing and two wars our nation has been fighting for years, depleting valuable resources we need to fix a multitude of domestic problems. Far too...

EXCERPT: This is being addressed to women, because I have been surprised with the number of women that I talk to that have racial prejudice around this election. I think it true that we all have some degree of racism. No matter how hard I try, I can’t shake it. A part of me believes “I couldn’t send a kid to that school” or “I could never raise a kid in that neighborhood”, yet I still know blacks, Hispanics and people of other races who are responsible, intelligent people that I could live...

EXCERPT: If I had the time to pick apart the VOA McCain endorsement, I would still be here long after Obama's votes make him president next week, but I don't. And that's the good news; VOA's editorial staff's opinion-- or whomever is responsible for drinking the red kool-aid that created the delusional glowing assesment of him (omitting Palin, I guess) -- is NOT shared by millions of Americans who likley read more then the winger posts on this site.

EXCERPT: Here is how the polls are shaping up, and how I see the final numbers---
The polling is showing O - 51 Mc- 44
I think the national total will be more like O - 51 Mc - 47 with the rest going about 1% each to McKinney, Nader, and Barr.
The EV though is going to O - 353 vs Mc - 185
With McCain dropping all of PA, FL and OH - which he needs all 3 to win in any scenario. Among the swing states McCain will take IN, and MO, Obama will take VA, NC, and all 3 of PA, OH and FL.
The biggest...
