EXCERPT: Prison guards in Florida tried their best to act like Major League Baseball players did in the 1990's. Too bad the guards didn't know to stop the orgies, steroid dealing, and in-game softball promotions when a new commish/prison secretary came to town, now most of them are joining the inmates they once lorded over.
If only Bud Selig had been replaced by a straight shooting, former drug czar like James McDonough MLB wouldn't still be hashing out the steroid scandal....

EXCERPT: If any Major Leaguer wants to know how to come clean about steroid use - you listening Rocket/Baroid/Big Mac/Sosa? -do what Matt Herges did recently in the Denver Post Live up to the choices you made, be a man, grow stronger from it.
Herges is the 37-year-old pitcher who admitted to "leading a double life" while using steroids and other performance enhancing drugs at various times throughout his career.
He finally came clean to his wife the night before the Mitchell Report...

EXCERPT: The concept of an All-Star game is noble, but it is no longer relevant. Players still may take pride in being named to an All-Star team, and they may even earn a monetary bonus for the achievement, but the game itself, the actual contest between the best players of every league is completely outdated, useless and demoralizing for fans.
The game just doesn’t make sense anymore. Trying to get millionaires to play hard and risk their health for the “pure love of the game” is an...

EXCERPT: Shaq to the Sun or the Center of Disappointment!
After looking at the trade for Shaquille O'Neal is it worth it? Do the Suns want to slow their team down from light speed to a crawl? Here are some things to think about.

During his career he This season he averaged:
36.4 minute per 28.6 minutes per game
58% from the 58 % from the field
52% from the 48% from the line
11.5 rebounds per 7.8 rebounds per game
2.45 blocks per 1.66 blocks per game

EXCERPT: The ny giants are in the super bowl because of  a couple reasons. The most obvious one is their is no more  crying from tiki barber not having support from The team.. what a joke they gave him the ball for years and watched him get first downs and never score in the red zone. One dimensional teams wake up sometimes and let overpaid ego maniacs go.Now that the overpaid clown is gone they can throw the ball to the big three ,and that doesnt mean shockley.Shockley is the other...

EXCERPT: Every year I post here about the Super Bowl. This year it's all happening in our back yard.
There are people renting out their houses and gearing up their businesses for the game. I for some reason can't figure out. How do people rent their home to strangers? In your home if you are like me over the years you collected many things that are personal or have meaning to your family. What price do you put on opening your life to a stranger who could literally trash all you have...

EXCERPT: I wrote this article 12/17/07
Romo to be or not to be
I can’t seem to figure out if this guy is real or lucky. I will just use my 50/50 rule I guess. Sometimes he is good and the rest of the time horrible. I don’t remember ever seeing a QB that throws more INTs or fumbles the ball as much as this guy. The experts say a great QB has a built in clock and instinct to get rid of the ball. Dallas will never be able to win a super bowl until Romo gets is clocked fixed. I...

EXCERPT: First off is what I call the NFL's own "Biggest Loser" contest of the week.  The Lions and the Chiefs are a combined 1-14 for their last 7 games played.  KC not only lost to Oak at home but they also let the Broncos beat them twice in their 7 game  only win in their last 7 games came against the same Broncos at home where they thumped them 44-7.  Det is a much better team than their record shows especially at home where they actually...

EXCERPT: I was watching ESPN today, it looks like it's going to be icy in New England today.  I don't think it means much though, I still think the Patriots will stomp the jets 56 to nothing (well, maybe a mercy touchdown at the end of the game or something).
Anyway, if it gets too bad, we all know what happened in that Pittsburgh - Miami game.  I don't think the Patriots will have the same problems though as they are a way better team.
Anyway, I probably won't...

EXCERPT: Tampa Bay at home will cover the spread easy against the Coachless Falcons, but don't expect to see a lot of scoring.  Watching the Falcons play against the Saints was painful enough but this week it gets even worse.  The "Poor" Falcons will have a hard time putting any points on the board but I'll give them a field goal from the ancient one, Morten Andersen.  My prediction is 24-3 TB.  The best thing about this game is that you don't...
