EXCERPT: BREAKING!
In a rambling news conference today, Sarah Palin announced that she is resigning her governor's seat in July.
I gleaned from the newsconference that she is doing so because it is the best thing for the state. LikeI said, she was all over the map, mixing metaphors and rambling, but it was something about wasting money. I guess that must have to do with the 15 ethics complaints that have been filed against her and her office.
So, what does this mean? She is quitting to...

EXCERPT: So, Sister Sarah got her thong in a knot because David Letterman made a joke about her "updating her slutty flight attendant look."  Ok, just because she wears "come F**K me shoes", and paints her middle-aged toenails with little flower's doesn't mean she is a slut.  She just plays one on TV.   Sarah said the joke was an insult to flight attendants.  I think it was too.  I would be PISSED if I was a flight attendant and...

EXCERPT: Across the Republican nation and here at Voice we have heard and read about Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor and her supposedly racist views.
On another thread I asked my fellow Voice contributors to show me her legal opinions and judgements that demonstrated a consistent pattern of decisions.
Of course, my opponents pointed out the Ricci/New Haven firefighters case as prima facie case of her racism.
Sotomayor-- Decisions On Race Claims
However, (ignoring the Ricci case for now)...

EXCERPT: This is a tale of 2 patients.  Same illness but widely different scenerios.  This is not unusual, but real life medicine in the U. S. today. JOE SMITH Joe Smith is a 70 year old man in generally good health.  His healthcare coverage is provided by Medicare, with supplemental coverage through AARP.
Joe woke up on a Tuesday morning with a searing pain in his left upper back.  He called his family physician and got a 9am appointment.  Dr. Jones suspects...

EXCERPT: Many of us who spent our youth in Christian Sunday School and church remember the hymn "Onward Christian Soldiers."
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before. (refrain)
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
forward into battle see his banners go!
The composer wrote it about being soldier for Christ.
Well, no better soldier for Christ than George W. Bush! He of the born again Christian persuasion, who named...

EXCERPT: Sean Hannity, posterboy for perverts everywhere, propped up the carcass of former Vice President Dick Cheney on his Fox News this week.
Hannity stood behind the Dickster and when he thought he had the maximum audience and attention, carefully untied the belt and ripped open the front panels of Cheney's trenchcoat. Hannity expected the maximum reaction--screaming from the women and children. But there lay Dick,  18% of it's former glory.
The...

EXCERPT: So, the big week of tea parties is over.  A smashing success some say.  Whatever.
But the right sure did get it's panties in a bunch over the coverage.  First there was the canard that the left and specifically the "leftist MSM" was trying to shut down the protests.  I never saw any evidence of that.  Protest away.
And there was much crying about the supposed co-opting of "tea party" to "teabagging" by the naughty...

EXCERPT: Matt Taibbi is one of my favorite writers. No sugar coating it and he puts it out there. Apologies in advance for the cut and paste of his article. But what he says is right on.
Many protesters expressed a sense that basic American freedoms of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are threatened by new Washington policies seen by many as more socialistic than capitalistic. The proposed taxpayer bailout of homeowners who may have inflated their earnings in order to secure...

EXCERPT: So, this week is it-the long awaited faux grassroots moment--the GOP and Fox News sponsored "TEABAGGING PROTEST"
For weeks I have heard Fox News' Sean Hannity promote is on his show.  Fox News' Glen Beck is sponsoring a fundraiser.  Fox will have Neil Cavuto (more on his BS later) and Greta Van Sustern at various locales cross America, joing Hannity and Beck.

Now, seems that Cavuto, the extraordinarily large headed business guru, on...

EXCERPT: Today the G.O.P revealed their long awaited budget as a counter to the Obama proposed budget.
I don't know about you all, but I thought a budget was supposed to have numbers, estimates and details.
Not if you are John Boehner and Eric Cantor.  Boehner got off to a bit of a rocky start when he said:
"Two nights ago, the president said, 'We haven't seen a budget yet out of Republicans.' Well, it's just not true, because here it is, Mr....
