There are about 297,451,944 people in the United States (www.census.gov) . www.opportunityrocks.org suggests that there are 37 million people (13 million being children) that currently live in poverty. That’s a lot of people no? about 8% of the entire united states to be exact. Well let’s look at some reasons why there are so many people living in poverty…
1. Unwillingness or inability to work.
2. Jobs that don’t pay enough
3. The current state of America’s economy is somewhat weak.
4. Societies unwillingness to help itself
5. You unintentionally fuel poverty
Those are some hard problems to fix. Now those aren’t the only factors, if an individual is into drugs it adds another element to the situation. Lets say drug trafficking actually stops. Well what then? Drug lords and people who smuggle them along with the dealers would be out of business, thus falling into poverty as well. Discrimination is another issue; white English speaking people have a better chance of being hired than lets say a black person of the same caliber. Although we are slowly getting over the race barrier the education barrier still stands. “If you want to make anything out of yourself in life you need to go through 18 years of schooling, then after that you have to go to a decent college.” That’s absolutely ridiculous, and most of the time people don’t even go on to get a job doing what they went to school for. It’s a waste of money, and people sit around and bitch about poverty. What the hell? It’s not an issue of working or getting an education.
Sometimes people need help and when they ask for it they get turned down. Why? Because they aren’t wearing the expensive suit and tie, because they don’t have the same financial background as the person they are asking, which is why they ask in the first place! If we could all just lend a hand every once in a while there wouldn’t be so much poverty, even though there are foundations out there like Make a Wish and whatever those thousands of cheap Christian organizations form, there’s never enough to go around. Mainly because we have people like bill gates who sit in 40 million dollar mansions and wont let their own kids have money to do things. This is the only issue I ever side with communism on, communism eliminates the classes of people – everyone is equal, which is how it should be. Capitalism and Greed is what makes poverty, the ability to snuff out mom & pop stores in order for major business chains to choke mom & pop into spending their entire weeks earnings on generic low-grade food to live.
That right there is poverty, so blame yourselves for going to the people with all the fancy embroidered papers and visible degrees instead of supporting the not-so-flashy smaller business’ that these people living in poverty work at and depend on to get what little they already recieve.

Digg It!

THIS however is turning around. BushCo's corporations are now hiring the inexperienced, non-english speaking non-white person that can't DO they job, as it HAD been being done, CORRECTLY, for 30 YEARS, so they can pay LOWER which means THAT person will have to HAVE 2+ jobs just to pay their bills. While that "white English speaking" person who got paid more & DID THE JOB CORRECTLY is out of a job, period, because they can't get ANOTHER "high pay" job because of BushCo's corporations! THEY now have to have 4 JOBS in order to pay THEIR bills, except THOSE COMPANIES HAVE SHIPPED THE JOBS OVERSEAS.
Neoconism and Greed = BushCo, is what makes poverty.
Impeach & fire all of BushCo & we'll go back to the surplus days.
