Wow.....If and I mean IF Timmy comes up with a plan on Monday that will be 1 out of 4. Remember last time? The ONE said Timmy would release details of a "plan" tommorrow. About a month ago.

As for the other three points you ignored:

What did Timmy know and when did he know it about the AIG payments?
What is Timmy going to do about the upcoming retention bonuses to Fanny & Freddie?
When will Timmy fill up the treasury department staff?

I guess now that most of that first $350,000,000,000.00 has been siphoned off by Geithners, Summers and Gensler's banking buddies, that lil Timmy will come down on lower employees and middle management who had NOTHING to do with all the smoke and mirror gambling that Summers enacted during Bill Clinton's administration.

I voted for Obama. I support him.  That doesn't make me a whore for Obama.  It doesn't make me a Obamaton.  I have disagreed with some of his ideas, most recently his 'make private insurance pay for vets medical care' idea that was (thankfully) DOA before it went too far.  I wrote on these very pages that he didn't make a clear case for hiring the Raytheon lobbyist Lynn for the defense department.  Still hasn't.

But overall, I think he is doing a good job.  He was handed a hell of mess on Jan 20.  And of March 20, I think he has gotten quite a bit of good work done.  He really isn't God, as Postman, AA and Rush Limbaugh believe. 

As far as the bonuses for AIG.  As much as I dislike it, contracts were written.  And I don't believe that the US Congress can go back and make a law specifically and retroactively to take or tax them back.

And Postman........you are just fun to mess with!  Everything you post here I have just seen on Fox or read on some right wing blog.  In fact your title of the "article" just so happened to be word for word what Rightwing talker Laura Ingraham said on the same day.  Coincidence?  I report, you decide.

Obama has virturally the same stance on Oilraq that Bu$h had,

he hired the Geithner,same guy that Bu$h used to write the original TARP, to hand out hundreds of billions of MORE DOLLARS, to the same people who gamed the system in the first place

Obama hired Summers, who is responsible for the repeal of Glass-Steagal and FSMA of 1999 to now guard the same mess he created.

Obama hired Gensler, who is responsible for insuring that CDO's remained outside the grasp of regulators.

Obama voted for FISA II

Obama voted for TARP

Obama has REWARDED the VERY PEOPLE who gambled and lost TRILLIONS in speculation...

Obama has RAISED the DEFICT to $1.8 TRILLION DOLLARS, and probaby an additiona 1 TRILLION DOLLARS a YEAR for the foreseeable future..

And there is no Single Payer on the horizon....

So 'overall' what 'good' of a job is Obama doing, TOOL?

I am only going to try this once with you.

My point is that I don't believe that the US Congress can retroactively tax/punish the AIG employees by passing a law now for bonuses given out last week.  Check out the Constitution Article I, Section 9. 

No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

If you want to argue about the UAW and GM/Chrysler re-negotiating contracts and compare that with AIG negotiating with itself, then you just go and have yourself a little mental masturbation party all by yourself.

RE: Voting for FISA II.  So what?  I supported that bill. I liked his vote on that. 

RE: TARP.  I don't yet know if that was a mistake.

RE: The deficit.  Well, we need government spending (a STIMULUS) to create jobs, help the unemployed, schools, and Medicare programs.  In case you haven't noticed, the economy is in the crapper.  ANd what does your hero Stigliz say about the Stimulus plan?  He called it "too small and too slow."  His words.  And did you know that Stigliz is a known to be against unbridled free markets!

So, what do I like that he has done in 60 Days:

Ordered the closing of Gitmo. 

Put a date certain ending combat missions in Iraq.  Yes, there will be 50,000 troops left there, but I believe that we can't just walk out 100%.  So sue me.

Putting more troops into Afghanistan. I like it.  So sue me.

Banned torture.

Put Science back into decision making; not political ideology- (Embryonic Stem Cell Federal funding ban lifted)

Passed and signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay act.

Revoking the Mexico City Policy-Family planning. 

Got the stimulus bill passed.

Announced pay caps on executive compensation for companies taking bail out money

Returned the bust of Winston Churchill to England and put a bust of an American President (Lincoln) in Oval Office.

That is a start!
