Nearly years ago, 14 Saudi Arabians and a few of their friends with simple box cutters killed some 3000 people on September 11.
Since then Americans have been willing, almost joyful to accept, and in all too many cases support 'pre-emptive warS, spend a $100,000,000.00 a year to chase and kill hundreds of thousands of innocent Muslims in foreign lands, give the President unrestricted ability to spy and hold people, take their shoes off in order to get on a plane, not be able to carry on 3.01 oz of gels or liquids.
AND YET, "The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released data showing there were 13,470 deaths in 2006 involving drivers and motorcycle operators with blood alcohol levels of .08 or higher, which is the legal limit for adults throughout the country."
13570 last year killed in the US, and how many died from Muslim radicals in the US?
How about the last 7 years?
The last 10 years?
The last 50 years?
Why are we not dropping smart bombs on the bars and liquor stores that feed this destructive terror?
Why are not soldiers, in the middle of the night, busting down doors, looking for booze and hauling away men of drinking age, sometimes never to be heard from again?
Why is there not a PROPORTIONAL response for the havoc wreaked and horror caused?
Why arent we declaring McCain's wife's business a "terrorist" organization and confiscating their bank accounts to fight a WAR on this Terror?
Why are Americans so eager to fight Muslims over there but unwilling to fight drunk drivers over here with a proportional intensity? When they are much more likely to be the victim of a drunk driver than they are of a 'terrorist'?

As to our insensitivity to death, your right. News 24 hrs a day has really taken the shock out of death and destruction. My suggestion is force everyone to see the aftermath of a drunk driver accident, or attend a war of your choice personally to impress upon them the consequences of their actions.
