Are you one of the many who have been told that we are eternal beings, and that the reason we are here is because we chose to be here? We have these agreements with other entities "on the other side" and we each agree to do whatever we do so that we can learn some lessons to become a better person, spirit, I don't know. Our lives can be so challenging at times that we look for answers and if an answer comes our way that makes sense, we buy it and adopt it as a belief.
So what if this is all wrong and that someone started this rumor to make the masses feel better about having such a rotten life. Kind of like saying it's good luck to have it rain on your wedding day. Or if you step in dog poop and don't swear, you'll come into money. What if the idea that we chose to come down here is really just another superstitious belief or wives tale that is being passed on to the generations. Let's face it. If heaven is such a great place to be, why the heck would anyone CHOOSE to come here. That's like saying that you have an opportunity to go on the vacation of your dreams and spend the rest of your life living that vacation and you say "NO! I'd really rather be digging ditches and striving to get some enjoyment out of that!"
That's not to say that we shouldn't love life. I think life is great. But I'd rather be in heaven then struggling here on earth. Now I know there are many of you enjoying life and it's struggles, but that doesn't mean that you actually chose to come down here over being in heaven - that is if heaven is all that it's cracked up to be.
So what if, instead of us choosing to come down, God cast us out! Kind of like when he cast the fallen angel out of heaven. What if we were getting a little unruly up there and he decided to teach us a lesson, so he throws us down here on this planet, gives us all the tools we need to do whatever, and then he tells us to "Go for it!" What if every encounter we have in life is an opportunity to change for the better - an opportunity to learn more about God, who he is, who we are.
Would that change your perspective on life?
