"There is one thing I'm not going to do, I am not going to pull our troops off the battlefield unti the mission is completed. We can not except nothing less than victory for our children and grandchildren"
President Bush said this today in Latvia. I need to ask a question here. What exactly was the mission in Iraq? I remember it was getting Saddams weapons of mass destruction. Then it was to remove the evil man from power. Then it was democracy building. Now it seems that they are backing down from building democracy, and just to "stailize Iraq". I think it would be very helpful to us, the American taxpayers to know what we are spending 300 Billion dollars on. I think it is impoortant to ask what we are sending our mother's sons and daughters to accomplish.
I want to know what the original intent was for going to war in Iraq? Perhaps then, we will know what victory looks like.
Looks to me like "stay the course" as morphed yet again.
