Today, as I drove through this town (Phoenix for those of you writting from other states) I stumbled across a bunch of Illegal Aliens. You might ask, was I at a drop house or a day labor pick up station? No, I was in front of a Home Depot at 75th Ave and McDowell. I really didn't stumble over them, I almost ran over them as they ran towards my truck assumedly offering themselves for whatever work they thought I had to offer.

I remembered what happened yesterday with the "big protest" going on all over the nation. I had been listening earlier in the day to the radio and there was talk of a backlash against these people who were protesting a new law that really doesn't do any more than the old law if we don't enforce it either.

I decided right there and then "Let the backlash begin with me!". So I picked up my trusty cell phone and called information to get the number for the local Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) office. As I dailed I thought to myself, if I can find them, why can't the INS, ICE or Homeland Security?.

I was directed to two different transfer lines before hearing a recording telling me to call an 1-866 number. That number for those of you who care is 1-866-347-2423. I called this number and after hitting a prompt or two was placed on the phone with a man. He asked me what the nature of my call was. I said I would like to report some illegal activities. He asked my name. I told him that the recording said I did not have to give my name. He said that was true. Then in his next breath he said, "You are refusing to give me your name." I said, "Sure".

After we had gotten the initial weirdness out of the way he asked what kind of Illegal Activity I was reporting. I said I had found a group of at least one dozen Illegals. He asked where they were and I told him. He then said the following, "You  are reporting approx. 1 dozen illegal workers looking for work at the Home Depot"...and he repeated the address. I asked how he knew they are looking for work? I continued, "I didn't say that". He said it was obvious. I should have picked up on the blandness but I didn't at first. So I asked what they do now, "how long until someone comes to pick them up?"

Here's where I got mad. His answer was outrageous. "The report will get to the local office in 5 days to a week". I said, "WHAT?!" and he said that's how long it took for the report to get to the local office. I asked if he thought they would still be there by then. Did he want me to pick one out of the hurd and follow him for a week so they could follow up when the report got here so they could find at least one.

I was then asked what I wanted him to do about it, should he give me local number to call. I told him that the local number told me to call him. He said "Here?" I said "Yes, here." The call quickly deteriorated from there with me offering him some ways he could maybe help the situation and he got pissed, I got pissed and I think we hung up on each other.

My point, INS doesn't give two s***s about the situation, or, they are so horribly under staffed they can't give two s***s about the situation. I did get to ask , "What if they were breaking another law", to which he answered, "Call the cops".

If this is the way our government currently handles the Illegal problem, how are they going to manage this guest worker program with people being required to check in with them? They are not going to. It will be the same crap that happened after Reagan's Amnesty Bill passed in the 80's. Elevan million more Illegals running the streets and no supervision of the situation. I am disgusted with both parties at the moment. The Republicans with the big Boarder Protection Talk and the Democrats so soon after the Port Deal that they raised such hell about. Here is a clear National Security problem looking at us square in the face and neither party has any balls to fix it.

And all along Fox sits down there in the Mexican Capital shipping his problem children to the U.S. He must feel like a real winner in this thing. To top the whole thing off, the news reports that thousands of children from all across the southwest walked out of class today to "protest". My ass. Kids today are no different than we were, they took advantage of chance to cut school.

Now in two weeks some organization is supposed to have all the illegal and legal immigrants walk off the job in protest to teach us Gringo's how it would be if they were not here. 100,000 are expected to go to Chase Field (I still call it B.O.B.) and organize a rally. Well INS, you know where they are going to be, let's round their asses up. I'll pay for the first U-Haul truck or Greyhound bus myself. Check all of them for legal status, release those who are and deport the rest back to the south end of Mexico or send them straight to Fox's house. Maybe they can mow his lawn.

I'm sick of it. If William Crum didn't sound like such a tard, I'd vote for him right now.

But what would I know, I'm just a backlashing Average American.
