Do you ever tire of the knee jerk reaction you have to anything I say?

Knee jerk reaction? No BAA Boy, your ego-tripping-self-promoting-insider-proprietary attitude affects a different part of my anatomy - I getta rash on my butt!. Mody, Mick and Indie may opt to play over it, talk sense to any real issue they can winnow outta all your superficial, over-opiniated, distorted prose but relief for my itch is to call ‘em like I see ‘em.

How about a truce between you and I? We will stick solely to subject matter and keep our personal comments about each other to ourselves.

Hah! Is this an post-Rovian epiphany? No more “Attack! Attack! Attack!”? Can dish it out for 6 years but can’t take it now that your NeoRat role models are bailing out? Is that it, BAA?

What do you say? This includes screen names, we will respect each others from here on out.

Well, I’ll say that, most recently, “BJune” and “bitch” didn’t ruffle my feathers but apparently BAA Boy tangles your wooly knickers. Much as you may crave to preserve your screen name, I shudder at the vision of what the nation would be if you were an average American.

I can see the dust jacket copy now - "Average American, beloved contributor to VoA, renowned Phoenix radio personality - now brings you his philosophical musings on the world order in this new volume!" Wouldn't help sales to be tagged as the BAA Boy, would it?

Look at the polls, BAA Boy - you’re a cardcarrying fellow traveller in a discredited political minority - you’ve been duped by the NeoCons, bub! So long as you persist in publishing your simplistic, superficial, provocative and hypocritical regurgitations of the ultra-wingnut claptrap with a self-serving, egomaniacal spin, I‘ll exercise my right to call ‘em like I see ‘em!

Your remark about Lennie applies, too, BAA! Leonard Clark stands tall for what he believes in - you would subject him to ridicule for just standing up? An armchair sheep can talk the talk but can‘t walk the walk - all bleat and no feet, BAA!

Personal bickering? I’d suggest that’s an oversimplification - if you read my comments you’ll find a valid point or two.

Now after all of Retard Republican's political and economic theories have been shown to be destroying the nation, RR wants a truce. Heck no Junie, kick 'em when they're down. Their heads are closer to your feet, they can't fight back, and it is more fun. So what to kick them for?

Katrina recovery efforts. The Conservative republotards have lost one of America's great cities.
Losing 2 wars.
Falling US median income.
More free trade, less worker protections in the world.

Thanks Phaedrus. We're have good company on this talk of truce - these recycled realities can't erase the past! Here's a passage from Ted Kennedy's statement before the Senate yesterday where he spoke against the expanded FISA bill:

"Think about what we've been hearing from the White House in this debate. The President has said that American lives will be sacrificed if Congress does not change FISA. But he has also said that he will veto any FISA bill that does not grant retroactive immunity. No immunity, no new FISA bill. So if we take the President at his word, he is willing to let Americans die to protect the phone companies. . . .

"It's painfully clear what the President's request for retroactive immunity is really about. It's a self-serving attempt to avoid legal and political accountability and keep the American public in the dark about this whole shameful episode. Like the CIA's destruction of videotapes showing potentially criminal conduct, it's a desperate attempt to erase the past."

Hey, and thank you for emailing Joe Biden about that special prosecutor appointment.

No one expected AG Mukasey to respond favorably to a House member’s written request for appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the trashing of the Torture Tapes and, for sure, nobody expected Mukasey to tell Congress to butt out altogether until the DoJ attorneys were finished!

That has Ted Kennedy and John Conyers now leaning towards a special prosecutor and Conyers’ House Judiciary Committee will conduct a hearing on Detainee Interrogation this Thursday with senior DoJ officials testifying. That’ll be followed on Friday by District Judge Kennedy’s hearing on the destroyed tapes - in defiance of Mukasey‘s wishes.

We're gettin' there! Let's hope there's enough momentum built up to carry through the holiday recess.

IF I've heard it once I have heard it 1000 times out of you June, Conservatives are war mongers who just want to fight, they never come to the table to just talk...

Well here it is in plain simple black and white, I offer a truce, a chance for us to have a discussion free from allowing personal attacks from entering into it and the first thing you do is go on the attack as if I were somehow unable to stand up to your talking point memo reproductions.

I have to say you reacted exactly I as thought you might but never did I think you would create an article out of it. I am surprised at the amount of hatred you carry for a man you have never met.

But I will give you the benefit of a life spent on the wrong side of things June and wish you the very best as you go forward trying to make sense of the bill of goods you were sold in your youth. That bill of goods being that the world owes you something for your very being here.

But without saying to you that you fell into a trap based on your obvious knee jerk reactionary track record I will instead once again try to get you to understand that our battle royale as you seem to think it is, based on some internal pooling you must have done in your head, means little to either VofA or the nation as a whole. They don't care what we think of each other and to be quit honest, you bore me with the BAA thing, its just childish. It has made me think that I should change my name to Beautiful Average American just to incorporate it into my ever growing popularity. But I understand that you need an enemy, the entire left needs enemies because you lack anything real to offer. If anything we have something in common my dear, we have both been let down by the lack luster performance of our party's collective leaderships.

In time you will come to understand that I do not place myself first when it come to this site and the good these people have done for both you and I by giving us a voice in things. I guess it is just part of that damnedable conservative loyalty that must make you crazy when you think you have all the answers.

Let’s face it BAA - you’re a follower who aspires to leadership but you can’t pull it off. And you probably never will because you don’t pack your own social compass. Couple that with your egotism and you become an entertaining novelty - a consistently freakish counterpoint for rational ideas.

Mick and AZModerate have both noted loyalty is your strong point but there’s a fine line between loyalty and blind, unquestioning advocacy.

BAA, you’ve bought into the fragmented wingnut world view and, while you cavalierly throw around the political jargon, you have not a whit of understanding of the terms or how they fit into the American social construct.

Wingnut principles are too often reactionary justifications for might makes right and, as such, are situation-specific. In total, they do not constitute a democratic social construct and, failing to recognize this, it’s little wonder you make a mess of it when you apply them out of context.

When anyone calls you on it, BAA Boy, you complete the wingnut cycle with the standard retaliatory, divisive and emotional finale - you label the dissenter as an unpatriotic hater.

Read your latest post, BAA - it’s a self-serving, I’m OK, You’re Not OK - and you call this an entreaty to a truce?

I particularly like you tailoring your screen name to match up with the label I’ve tagged you with. Like I said, BAA - I think you’re a follower, not a leader.

HOO-AAH! Got that - "Correct the SUB-HEADLINE"? No trouble with the Times fingering Gonzales, Meiers, Addington and Bellinger as the chief White House lawyers involved in "extensive discussions" between 2003 and 2005 about whether or not to destroy the Torture Tapes?
