The MSM has missed this one what with its extensive coverage of "knowledge as a dangerous weapon" - the Wichita (KS) Police have raised the bar for "Boneheads with Tasers".
The police entered Donnell Williams' home on the false report of a shooting. Williams, who's hearing impaired, was in the bathtub without his hearing aids at the time. When he left the bathroom clad only in a towel, he found himself confronted by
the cops with drawn pistols!
Williams immediately began pointing at his ears indicating he was deaf and, despite the fact that he was virtually naked and not acting violent, the police tasered him!
Deputy Chief Robert Lee of the Wichita Police Department lamely explained, "This one occurred on the worst of calls, that being a shooting. The first few minutes getting control of the scene are very, very important. Police wish it never happened, but with the information they had at the time, their choices were limited.”
WOW! Just what are the choices when confronted with a naked man just out of the tub - a taser or a bullet?
Mick - have you considered adding a new line - DON'T TASE ME BRO towels?
