To Active Military Mean and Women Stationed Oversea...

I am an average American. I work hard, play hard, pay my taxes and believe in my god. I have a family. I am a parent, grandparent, son, daughter, grandchild or friend of another American. I have the benefit of living under the protection of the flag of freedom that you so selflessly provide.

I am sending this letter out to you because I want you to know that the sacrifices you have made do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. I drive around my home town and I see the ribbons, I look at the flags and I hear the news on the radio. I hurt with the news of every death and I swell with pride at the news of every success. There are millions like me who never take the time to say the only two words we can say that even begin to express how we feel.

THANK YOU!

Thank you for taking the risk. Thank you for sacrificing the time with your family and friends. Thank you for showing your love of country in ways that many of us can not. We all play our part, but you have taken it upon yourself to make the ultimate sacrifice for me, my family and my loved ones.

I sleep better at night knowing that you are there, always watching, always prepared and always doing what you must to keep me and mine safe.
