If you listen to what the left side of the isle is saying lately, you would have to believe that the Bush Administration, the Republican Party and the Conservative Movement in general has declared war on the United States Constitution. This is oscene. these are the very organizations, party affiliations and politicos who are trying to protect it.

The Bush administration has a duty to declare war on the terrorist threat, regardless of where it comes from. Whether that threat originates outsoide of the United States i.e. reviewing phone conversations from known or suspected terrorists, inside the United States i.e. being vigilant and keeping a warry eye on protest groups or recording certain groups activities who prior to 9/11 were meerly thought of as a nuisance but who could well be infiltrated and used possibly unknowingly to transport items or information critical to a plot to kill civilians.

The Rebublican Party has done all it can to ensure that the President has the authority to make these moves in a legal context and to protect those institutions that could otherwise deny the President the power to act under war time conditions. (Think Supreme Court)

The Conservative Party, from the Congressional Leadership to the voter on the street has made their decission quite clear by ballot box who they prefer to run the country during these periless times.

If we are to believe that this is a nationwide effort to deny you your constitutional rights then we must believe that for the 40 year the Democrats ran congress they had entered into an agreement with the down trotten and less fortunate to redistribute the wealth of those who had worked hard for what they had. We must also assume that these same people had the idea of disolving the constituion long before the Republicans. Otherwise why would they have entered into all of the multinational agreements regarding the United States ability to self protect and self produce it's own crude oil and to be tethered to such dictators as those currently running Iran and other OPEC strong nations.

Nobody currently serving in the congress of the United States is trying to take away your freedoms, neither is the President of the Supreme Court. What we have here is a generation that has had it so good, they refuse to believe that there are those out there in the world who just plain hate us. Your lack of clarity on this subject is awe inspiring.
