Alright, this article is for all you people with little yellow ribbons on the back of your SUVs.

How about this, if you really want to support our troops, then why don't you give them jobs as they come back to the states.  Or why don't you help pay for their education so that they can get a decent paying job.

Most of the troops coming home from Iraq are only trained  in killing or specific military duties, and not trained for civilian life.  You are not supporting them by wearing red, you are not supporting them by wearing a stupid yellow ribbon.  All you are doing is saying that you acknowledge that the troops are there fighting for your burger munchin', couch potato life style.

Our troop are over there and about 30 percent of our troops over there are developing shell shock (severe post-traumatic stress disorder).  They are mainly 18 to 24 year olds barely beginning their lives and having see their buddies get their legs blown off, get their legs blown off and having to kill innocent civilians because they are commanded to do so.  These kids don't care about the reasons the greedy politicians are sending them to war, all they know is they have to kill to survive.

Thousands of our troops are coming home severely crippled and dismembered because of our modern technological advances.  That's the main reason why our death toll has not reached numbers comparable to Vietnam, because of the armor plated kevlar vests that allow the troops to come home in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank instead of coming home in a body bag.  Yes, isn't technology something?  Producing more paraplegics so that they can show a lower death count while avoiding the number of traumatized cases.

When the troops get back, they are experiencing treatment similar to the Vietnam era.  They are coming back to get turned down for jobs by some guy in a hummer with a big yellow "support our troops" ribbon.  So if you really want to support our troops, why don't you give them a hand when they get back instead of pushing them away like yesterdays trends.  Because that's all the little ribbon on the back of your SUV is, just like your life, a trend.
