Sorry for the clutter again folks, but we still have not worked out the glitch in the new format that keeps me mute concerning comments (Applause).

Articles are the only way I have of communing with the VofA community. Try to visualize if you can not being able to comment on the rich targets of opportunity here at VofA! Arrghhh! Withdrawal is HELL!!

So I have to use an article as a comment one more time, just to let you know my silence, as golden as it is, is not voluntary.

This is a message I have had in the breach of the Comment gun for several weeks now in anticipation of regaining the full use of my comment license.

As I was taking this article for a test drive I discovered an error in one of the linked articles. In one of the bullet points in fulfilling a higher destiny I mistakenly referred to Caesar Chavez when I meant Hugo Chavez of Argentina. A thousand pardons.

Oh Joy! Oh Rapture! I can comment again!!!

Mod, I notice below this box a small link that says "Having trouble commenting? Click here to use the classic comment system.

Have you tried that yet. I have never noticed it before, perhaps it is on all of them, not sure, I hope the link shows up on this comment.

You silence has not been golden, your voice, in written form has been missed.

If you continue to have troubles I would urge you to contact VofA and see if they can help you out.

Here's some things you could try doing, I'm sure you probably already tried some of them, but anyway, here they are.

1. Download Firefox from [link:www.mozilla.com] - This site seems to work a lot better in Firefox than Internet Explorer (I'm assuming you are using Internet Explorer because Internet Explorer). Firefox is a very light download and won't gobble up a lot of resources like other browsers do.

2. Use the comment link that they provided for that Average American mentioned. In fact, it's the link I'm using just to verify that it works.

3. Empty your cache. You might have old versions of some pieces of the website that refuse to update from the server.

4. That's all I can think of right now, but I do know that Internet Explorer sucks, and downloading firefox would fix all your problems.

I thought I should try again to comment after a discouraged absence from VofA, but to no avail ...

... until I tried one word followed by poking the 'Enter' key.

I can comment again if I simply press Enter after the last word?!?

Perhaps the software needs to insert a termination character when the comment bar is clicked regardless of whether the 'Enter' key has been poked in the text. Is this a hole in the software?

Or am I limited to one word comments?? We shall see shortly (a POX on this stupid 10 minute delay after each comment on a given article!!)

But I still cannot do the pretty stuff in comments. Anyone else having problems like these?

Yup! It's a hole in the software. I seem to be OK so long as I don't forget to press 'Enter' as the last keystroke in the comment text.

I can live without the pretty stuff in Comments so long as I can pretty up my articles.

As I was perusing the daily news and blogs and returned to the V of AZ site, I saw an old article re-appear. Then I saw a comment by AZ Moderate. I checked the date. Today's date. AND COMMENTS BY AZ MOD!!!!! YAHOOOOOO!!!!

It appears that AZ Moderate has solved his computer issues! Thank the Lord!!!!!!

I have missed you AZ Mod. I miss your insight and wisdom. I can honestly say that I was not the only one!

Your absence was particularly difficult since Moron-in-charge has been indisposed due to his need to take a vacation.

AA has been on a rampage, and although Prom, Phaed, Proud Liberal, fairly new Beth, I and others have done our very best to refute his craziness, it just hasn't been the same without you and MiC.

Now, you appear to be back and MiC should be home soon.

Sometimes the new format works for me, and sometimes it doesn't. MiC told me to download Firefox/Mozilla after the update of the VofA site. I didn't like the idea, (seems everytime I do something like that, something gets messed up), but it has worked ok for me.

I truly hope that the fix that you have found "sticks." We need you always, but particularly now with the election nearing.

Looking forward to your contributions again!!!!!!!!!!
