What are you voting for in the Primary? Any state primary.

I'm not asking anyone to commit to anyone in the comments, your vote is your business, I want you to answer the poll at the end.

I have a theory about what the results will show, but I am going to hold it back for a few days until I see the results. I, unlike many places that do these polls, do not want to skew the results in advance of you answering.

So below I am going to list all the candidates by label, not name. Remember, I am asking what you are voting for in the primary, not who is your choice for President if you could unilaterally make the call yourself.

Note: I was listing all of the candidates by name until I realized that the new and improved VofA only allows for 5 responses to a poll now. Note to VofA, it would be nice if that were changed. Fortunately, my theory can still be supported or shot down by the results from these new answers.

I have a theory about who is going to the win NFC and AFC championship football games today too, but I am going to hold it back for a few days until I see the results.

Then I am going to write that I was absolutely correct in my theory.

Here is an idea. Use that nifty new Feature on VoNA and IM me your theory. I will keep it our little secret until the results are in. Then, if you are correct, I will back up your thesis.

Seems fair right?

I think after ignoring/ marginalizing Edwards for a year and half, the D's are down to their Big 2, whereas the R's still have all 3 wings of the party alive and kicking, and we'll see which Biggest Loser gets to take on the Hillary or Obama juggernauts.

PS I didn't select front runner. However I have a inkling what the poll is really trying to ferret out.

Shouldn't Bush have suspended the Constitution, invaded Iran and declared Marshal Law by now.

I mean these elections look like they might take place?

Well until recently it looked as if my theory was going to be supported. But in the last two days it has swung the other way.

My theory was simple...

I theorized that despite the many articles and mentions of the Kucinich and Paul candidacies that majority of voter would still vote for the tried and true main line candidates.

Of course, as Indie pointed out in my email to her on the subject (done purely to provide some integrity to the poll results vs. my theory) it may still be effected considering so many states have voted already and many that were hoped to be in the race have already pulled cords and bailed out.

I wonder if there would have been a very different result if instead of Iowa, Michigan, South Carolina and others having gone so early, if instead we had a national primary day, or did them all in one week, if perhaps the underdogs may have come out on top?

Super Tuesday negates the effectiveness of all those who follow to some degree as do the very early votes of those states and other listed above.

A Third party candidate

15.91%

Although it does appear that it is the Republicans with a far worse choice to make considering none of their candidates are conservative, who are a bit more likely to choose the lesser of two evils over principal, or the more main stream vs. the unknown.

I congratulate you on the left for being more open to the long shot.

Like I said before, Democratic Party voters have mastered the art of two-faced politics. They're all talk, no action. And like I've said many times, they settle for failure.

Every liberal radio show for the last three years has been beating the revolutionary drum talking about impeachment; holding Bush accountable for Iraq, "cronyism," and other scandals; and reversing the deeds of Bush and the evil Conservative Congressmen.

Then what happened? In 2006, Democrats finally regained control of Congress and the "Queen of the Liberals" Nancy Pelosi declared that, "Impeachment is off the table." Strike one, you'd think. But no, Democrats said, "OK, fine. Let's get things done first before we go for the head of the Republican Party."

Then what happened? Just after taking power, the Democratic leadership in Congress backed down from pursuing the President and failed to investigate all of his scandals. Strike two.

And the liberals' ad attacking "General Betrayus" rocked the party to the point that it was condemned by the leadership. Measures to cut funding for the war were compromised and every time you pick up a newspaper you read that another criminal in the Administration has retired with honor. Strike three.

Reversing the deeds of Bush and the evil Conservative Congressmen? Yeah right. Democrats have controlled Congress for exactly one year and they've accomplished nothing. They've made few glorious stands and have suffered great defeats thanks to Bush's veto power. Every step of the way, Democratic politicians have failed to deliver to their base support.

I understand that Washington requires some compromise and collaboration. But what happened to doing the right thing despite the odds? Impeachment hearings should have been held one year ago but we learned that the Democrats didn't have the stomach for it. Give me Newt and Hyde and I'll show you two a******s who know how to go for the throat. And don't tell me that it takes time to rebuild after a catastrophic storm. No more excuses, no more settling.

This back story has a point: Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel seemed like the ideal candidates to satisfy the bloodthirsty liberals' cry for revenge and rolling heads. But they don't have support. It turns out that liberals aren't too liberal when it comes time to voting their principles. They compromise and settle for bottom of the barrel leaders and empty promises like "Change We Can Believe In." The Democratic Party has failed this country.
