I heard Jeff Farias' show today and part of it dealt with poetry. The guest (tuned in after Jeff said his name, sorry) was reading lovely poetry that was infused with the "progressive" view point. He made no bones about it so I had no issue with that part. He mentioned a site called www.newversenews.com saying that it was a place for progressive poets to post both anti-war and non war poetry.

So I visited the site. As I expected it is moderated. The poetry must be approved to be posted. OK, not a problem. It is a site specifically about liberal./progressive views.  We all know how the liberals love poetry and that's great. Freedoms weapons closing in on you bastards

Hide in caves like mindless rats

You number's up how do you like that

Afghan, Iraqi, Iranian too

Taliban leaders, you've lost a few

You attacked our nation with surprise

Now we wreck your miserable lives

Despite the truth you try to bend

Liberals wail and cry for you

They are loving people and Americans too

Forgiving they are when confronted by grief

But I don't follow in their lack of beef

No your intentions are not lost on me

By the end you'll find yourselves on your knees.

You claim to fight for your Holy God

Osama's not perfect you should just eat hog.

Since poetry is about letting those inner feeling come out in something beautiful so that you can release something inside, I think this relates to what many Americans feel. At least those who remember...
