“‘La Raza’ (The Race) is a broad term which refers to those whose ancestry is indigenous to the area of Mexico (or "Aztlan"). MEChA  members refer to themselves as "La Raza" or "Raza," but the term itself is used to indicate camaraderie among those in different organizations with the same objectives. There are a number of organizations who consider themselves to be La Raza.”

I see.  Sooo ...

... let's take a capsule tour of La Raza.  Please correct me if I’m wrong:

1. La Raza is the movement.

2. The National Council of La Rasa (NCLR) is a coordinating umbrella organization that:
     o has non-profit status with the IRS;
     o applies for and recieves Federal grants;   
     o has affiliates at schools in most states and Mexico;
     o focuses on improving opportunities for Hispanic Americans; 
     o works to reduce poverty, discrimination for Hispanic Americans;
     o funds get-out-the-vote efforts supporting La Raza’s political positions;
     o lobbies the congress for money, open borders and illegal alien amnesty.
    In short, the NCLR is main spokesman for La Raza and puts lipstick on the pig.

3. La Raza Unidas, spawned from MEChA, is the political party of choice for La Raza.

4. MEChA is a separate and distinct organization within La Raza, the movement.
 
MEChA instantiates the strong radical racist undercurrent in the movement.  MEChA represents the other end of the pig.
 
MEChA was instrumental in those demonstrations that carried that sea of Mexican flags and only an occasional American flag, sometimes upside down, the international signal of distress, while marching in American streets.
 
While the NCLR puts forth a relatively benign façade, La Raza is a racist movement by definition. 
 
The very reason for the existence of the movement is to re-create the mythical homeland of Aztlan.  In its most radical rendition, fanatically embraced by MEChA, Aztlan would be purged of all races except the “Bronze Race” of Aztec ancestory.  That would include the Centeral and South American races as well as races from Europe, Africa and Asia.
 
What is Aztlan?   “In the origin myths of the Aztecs, they emerged originally from the bowels of the earth through seven caves (Chicomostoc) and settled in Aztlan, …” 
 
Where is Aztlan, the “rightful” heritage of the Bronze race (La Raza)?  It encompasses California, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Arizona, New Mexico,Texas and Mexico.  Some Bronze “anthropological surveyors” claim part of Washington as well.  Aztlan is the Amalgamation of those states with Mexico.
