Hispanic Woman, you hit the nail on the head in Rotten Apples on the Bush. It is these gutless “leaders”, starting with that cowardly bully in the White House that should be brought up on charges as war criminals.

Letter to the Editor:
I see another Abu Ghriab atrocity has been perpetrated. Army Pfc. Lynndie England was convicted of conspiracy and maltreatment of detainees by a jury of five male Army officers after two whole hours of deliberation. (“Private found guilty of Abu Ghraib abuse”, A4, September 27, 2005)
“England’s trial is the last for a group of nine army reservists charged with mistreating prisoners …” These Americans tarnished America’s image worldwide, but especially “…in the Muslim world despite quick condemnation by President Bush”.
Disgraceful things happened then and there, but the greater disgrace is ours. We:
- enabled a national “leadership” with little concern for true American values such as those contained in the military code of conduct, our Bill-of-Rights, or the Geneva Convention;
- acquiesced in a shroud of secrecy that hides agendas that play fast and loose with our American values;
- called up a bunch of American kids, civilians in uniform, and granted them license that we had ill equipped them for;
- failed to gird our children roundabout with the armor of our American values to support ethical behavior in such an alien environment.
We have good leaders, such as Senator John McCain. I don’t always agree with him, but I would follow him into battle.
Not so this disgraceful gutless “leadership” that without a doubt sanctioned and promoted the alien environment, then fed our kids into the moral grinder while they hid in the shadows.

Shame on this travesty of chicken hawk leadership, many of whom never served in the military. Shame on Rummy. Shame on Dicky. Shame on Commander-in-Chief Dubya in particular for ducking and covering his ass with the ass of some 20 year old reservist from the back woods. Some "War President". Shame, shame, shame.

I am pretty confident that we could take up pool and collect enough money to get you a new computer by the end of next week. Just say the word.
Oh, I guess you can't. Alright then, tell Michelle Laurienti and we'll make it a done deal.
Walmart has a Compaq Presario laptop on sale for $399. I normally would recommend a Mac, but at that price, how can you go wrong.
