| Lets get rid of all these lams ducks and have 3 people call the shots and make some decisions now. I nominate Saddam, Uday, and Qusay. It will be quite the fight though. First they have to come back from the dead. Then they'll have to survive the negative press from all the Allah-damn America s*** their crazy uncle Osama Bin Laden said. |

| I have to disagree with the premise of this article, however, I understand your frustration. The problem is not our constitution but those who swear to uphold it. You brought up the right to have a gun. We absolutely have that right today because of this paper. You can have mine if you win the shoot out when you come to get it. It is the one thing our government understand, power. As for the courts, this is all the more reason to keep the likes of Obama and Clinton out of office. You think it's bad now... Just wait. Unfortunately you have misunderstood the reality of the new world we live in. We have to be involved if only as advisers to much of the planet. Small localized disturbances are the ones that go Global, not the major issues like the Cold War. All of the localized issues we are now involved in were there during the Cold War too, they were just being managed more efficiently by the two major powers at the time, the US and USSR. We both used others as puppets to deal with our much larger disputes, but this kept everyone off the button. Today the world is changing. Now it is the local influences that take priority over the Super Powers in the sway factor. We are seeing it in the Middle East today through Iranian destabilization of world oil prices and the ongoing training of forces sworn not to Iraq but to Iran. We see Russia's influence as more of the big stick being carried by others than the force we should be sitting with to talk. THIS WILL BITE US, MARK MY WORDS. We have little choice in who we "deal" with these days. We have to go where the influence is. |

The destabilization of world oil prices is due to US involvement in OILraq and the Middle East. |

| To: degaselli If the price of gas keeps increasing you're going to be seeing lots of horses tied up ... As far as the lost art of cattle rustling - it's not such a lost art. My brother lives in southern Missouri and was just telling me the other day that one of the neighbors cattle trailer was stolen - my guess is the next thing that will be missing will be a few head of cattle from here and there. If the price of food doesn't start dropping, which it won't - there's going to be a lot of things that will turn up missing because people are going to do whatever it takes to feed their children. Have to agree with you on our court system - it totally sucks. If you're rich you can go out and kill someone and probably get a 'get out of jail free' card - if you cannot afford a decent lawyer, you're going to spend some time behind bars - there is no middle ground. Our politicians are far from worthless - what they are is outnumbered, they simply do not have the numbers necessary to get bills passed without a major fight on every item presented - the Dems are supposed to have a majority in the Senate, but that one vote is Lieberman, who consistently votes with the Republicans. As far as spreading the AIDS virus - had Bush owned up to the promise he made to Africa and sent the $5 billion for AIDS education, when it was promised... maybe that country wouldn't be in the shape it is today, but I agree with you - charity begins at home. There are plenty of people in this country that need help in any number of ways. P. |
