North Korea Nuke Test

Your revisionist history lesson in the opening paragraph is scary. If I were a North Korean I would be asking, "Did my leader just make me safer or put me and my family at risk?"

This is the question so many ask about Bush and his decision making ability. The United States has made no direct threat against North Korea. Why our Navy is building up in the Persian Gulf as we speak not off the coast of the Korean Peninsula, so how exactly is testing the most horrific weapon in history going to protect North Korea. Obviously the madman running things over there is begging for a conflict, but he has forgotten that this country does not have to test its weapons anymore, we know our work just fine.

As for CNN's ability to report accurately the recording of an earthquake in the Korean Peninsula, I don't think it is all that strange for them to omit actual evidence. The have an agenda to make Bush look bad. This way if we do launch some kind of strike against Kim they can begin by calling it unprovoked.

Know it All, the world community has been warning Kim not to do this, now that he has, watch the world reaction to it before you state a repeat of history. Thsu far North korea has stayed within it's borders, unlike Germany, they have not made overtures of land grabs, so comparing N.K. to Germany isn't all that accurate. HOwever, for the liberal base (of which I do not believe Know it All is a member) this is just the kind of thing they will begin to trumpet.

SO what do we do know, that's the real question. I say we hit the facilities that helped create this weapon with a multinational air strike, TODAY. The time for talking has just officially expired.

Oh ho, now I see they changed the story, and yes a small detonation was detected. France and the UK are both saying less than 1 megaton.

Bigger issue- so by engaging Saddam has Bush allowed North Korea to devlop a nuke, and make the region less safe?

Someone once said, in this life you are given a "bucket" of integrity. It is non-refillable. And every lie, every failure, every f*** up is like a scoop of water from the bucket. George W Bush has taken our bucket and shot the crap out of it.

Who is following our lead now to stand up against North Korea? No one, because they don't trust the US leadership. Or put another way, they trust George W Bush less than they fear Kim Jong Il.

Well leave it to me to bring up an unwelcome fact here. I want to thank Slick Willy for giving Kim Jong Il the cover to produce a nuclear weapon. If it had not been for his and Aldumbs decision to go ahead and hand over lite water nuclear power technology to the North Koreans in the '90s thus allowing them to dismantale the old graphite reactor they had thus making 8000 fuel rods available for weapons production, (even though they promised to ship them out of the country, big surprise the commies lied to us again) we would not be faced with this situation today.

It is this kind of naive thinking that lead the Clinton administration and these are the remaining factors of his so called diplomacy that we are left to try to clean up. You can not talk to dictators and then take their word on s***.
