To save time and words, yes I am a Republican - by choice. I found as an Independant there were things I could not participate in and I didn't like that feeling so I made a choice. I don't regret it, especially when I see things like the hoop-la the Dems are spouting about their "100-hour agenda".

Even as a Republican I seldom quote any elected official because I don't agree with much of what they say - it's political - duhhhh. BUT this A.M. I read an article in the OC Register (a california paper) that got my attention. John Campbell R-Irvine provided an overview of what the Dems accomplished in their rush to beat the Pelosi agenda. If you have an open mind you might find it an interesting read. If you are a bobble-head - don't waste your time.

Anyone that has lived in California for any length of time won't find any surprises but others of you might.

Yup, you're right -- Democrats are for tax increases, every minute of every waking hour! Good work master sleuth but do you need the Orange County Register to tell you that?

Here's an excerpt fom the same newspaper you might be interested in:

"Let me repeat that. The drug smuggler who was in this country illegally and was fleeing from the law wants American taxpayers to pay him $5 million because the Border Patrol allegedly violated his civil rights with a bullet in his butt."

Well, that article reminds me of the saying "there are Liars, Damn Liars, and statisticians." The idea that forcing seniors into HMOs and off Medicare, which costs the US taxpayer an extra 20% or more, to get the drug benefit is somehow saving us money is ridiculous. Of course that is Republican logic and accounting these days.

I love you "guys"!!

Believe me I do NOT pretend to know all the answers about any of this poo poo but i just yanks my crank when i see all ths smoke and mirrors (yes, from both sides) yet see so many people fall for the crap. I have a very good frind that is a hardline Dem and can never say anything nice about Bush (I know, there is nothing nice - lol) but has yet to offer even her own solutions to any problem - local or otherwise.

It just gets so old seeing all these airbags pounding their drums and telling us how great they are and all the nifty things they are going to do to make America better... They don't have a clue that THEY (all of them) are what has been draging us down.. I really hate to say it but it's time for that "new" party to get going - not the bullsh*t party, one that will put out the facts and is willing to take the hits.

By the way - I don't want to nuke everyone - just the low lifes that think terror is the answer to everything... The only good thing I can say about recent events in Iraq is that when they give someone the death penalty, they don't waste a lot of time - quick apeal and do it! We want to fix the prision system - let's start there...

hmmm - got sidetracked... anywho - name for new party - Demo-Reps! Take the best of both and run with it....
