For years now I've been listening to the democrats in congress whine and cry about how they don't have enough votes to do this and can't get this done because they don't have enough votes and before 2006 about how they were in the majority and couldn't get anything done and couldn't use the filibuster because the big bad republicans were blocking them at every turn and I'm sick of it.
When they were in the minority the republicans successfully muted them and they kept promising "just wait till we get the majority and then we'll get something done". Well I'm still waiting. How can the republicans stop a filibuster but the weak assed democrats can't? The democratics have control of what is introduced but will they take advantage of it and use it for leverage? No because they are to weak livered and afraid of their own shadow to stand on their hind legs and do something.
Years ago I watched a movie about the filibuster which I'm sure most of you are at least familiar with called "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" in which Jimmy Stewart really filibustered. Well, Mr. Smith has left Washington never to return. If this weak bunch of hypocrites that call themselves progressives (which is a laugh) had a set of cojones then they would call the bluffs of Bush and his congressional backers and make them actually filibuster. Make them sit stand and talk for hour after hour and see how loyal they really are to blocking the troops time off and keeping the Iraq occupation going forever.
I give up! It's easier for them to whine and complain about not having enough votes than to get down and dirty and fight the good fight.
They are whiners and complainers and do nothing hypocrits and that whining and complaining is leading us all to just where the necons want us and that is into another world war.
They want World War III and all who are not shouting against it are complicit in it.
President Bush you said that we're either with you or against you. Well I for one am against you!
To paraphrase a talk show host, Mike Malloy, have I told you how much I hate these Sons-a-Bitches?

I had dared hope for a brief time that Dr. Dean had given the Dimocrats a spine in the 2004 run-up. But alas, he is a mere doctor, not a magician. They successfully rejected the transplant with John Kerry, and they have been flopping around in the GOP breeze ever since.
