The "economic stimulus" plan being pushed by House speaker Nancy Pelosi contains "hundreds of millions of dollars" for family planning services. When asked about this part of the bill, Pelosi insisted that "family planning services reduce cost" and "we have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy

The "contraceptive provision" in the stimulus bill IS important...or was before the Dem's took it out like a bunch of pansies.  So in that regard, I will agree that Pelosi is an idiot and I am pissed at Obama for asking for it to be removed. 

Here are the facts.

The supposed 200 million in the bill was 0.225% of the proposed total of the bill.  It would have provided contraceptives to no and low income folks.  Now, with 500,000 people losing their jobs every month (over 70,000 in one day just last week) that adds up to lot's of folks without healthcare coverage or money to spend on pregnancy prevention.

And the last thing folks needs when unemployed is another kid, right?  So, these monies could have gone to providing the means to prevent pregnancy.  Here is an astonishing fact for ya--
