it may be an indication of how we got to a linear thinking that allowed Americans to promote Creationism over rational science.  It might make since by watching why American adults can't equate giving up freedoms and privacy in order to fight terrorists is doing just what the terrorists want just by it's very definition.  It might be the reason Americans seek a savior because they fear, rather than standing up and taking charge themselves.  We don't need no stinkin education, we need sheep, soldiers, and God.

In other words, the Reagan Era school children are now adults that can't detemine that a right triangle always has a 90 degree angle.  How do you expect them to know much else.
